         <title>Anaconda Protocol for Weight Training</title>

         <description><![CDATA[ I am doing the Insanity program in the morning and weights in the afternoon (4 times per week weights). I have been doing the Anaconda Protocol 2 for the lifting sections, and plain water for the Insanity sections in the morning -I drink a protein shake within 30 minutes after the Insanity video ends.  <br>

I am 200 pounds; I want to gain lean muscle; I am using Insanity as training for a half marathon in May; I have been doing this Insanity program for 4 weeks, and going to the gym around 8 to 9 times per week Which has been challenging but I have been able to manage. <br>

Question:  <br>
I know it would be optimal to be able to take the Anaconda protocol in the morning with my insanity training and another one with my weights training in the afternoon (is that a correct assumption?), yet that would be a significant amount of money. Would you guys recommend something for me that would give me energy for the Insanity workouts and can help me recover quicker without breaking my bank? <br>

I take my shot of GPC 90 minutes before my workout. Mix two scoops of Anaconda with 1,000 ml. water and start drinking it about 15 minutes before working out and finish by the end of the workout. As soon as I am done with my workout, I drink one scoop of MAG-10 and one scoop of Workout fuel with 1,000 ml. water. I drink that in 10 minutes after working out.  <br>

The part that seems strange to me is drinking &quot;workout fuel&quot; after working out. It is advertised as helping a person power through their workouts, but I am drinking it after my workout.  <br>

Any feedback would be appreciated. I want to make sure I am getting the most from my supplements and workouts. ]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[Okay after three of the worst workouts I have had using the Anaconda protocol before-during-after training I won&#39;t do it anymore. It&#39;s not a problem of getting all the liquid in but it doesn&#39;t sit well with me. I get a upset stomach but not to the point where I have to vomit etc. At first I though I was putting to much flavouring in being 2 caps (as suggested) then I dumped down to 1 1/2 caps and still get my stomach upset. Perhaps cutting the doseing (scoops) down? But I don&#39;t want to deviate from what was set out. <br>

I have better workout eating a peanut butter jam samwhich 15 mins before workout and powdered gatorade before and during my workout (Today I deadlifted 405lbs for the first time and wouldn&#39;t been able to do that with the feeling I have ising the protocol). So, my question is how else can I use the protocol that&#39;s not in my training time? Even providing me a link or where to start looking would be great. <br>

         <title>FINiBARs Make Me Really Sleepy</title>

         <description><![CDATA[For those of you using FINiBARs pre workout, do you ever experience severe drowsiness after eating them? <br>
 <br>
I&#39;ve eaten two before working out the past two days and I can only assume that the large insulin spike is causing this.  Shame because it hinders my workout.  Anyway of offsetting this or should I just drop the FINiBARs? I have trouble overcoming it even with 400 mg caffeine. <br>

I eat carbs in nearly every meal and don&#39;t experience this at any other time so it&#39;s pretty strange. ]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[I have been using the 3 FINiBAR Anaconda protocol and it has been amazing. I went through some of the posts and Mod Brian said that there was synergy between Surge Workout Fuel and the FINiBARs. If money was not an issue, what protocol would give the maximum benefits to gaining muscle. Which supplements could be used? <br>
Alpha Male, Rez V, Receptor Max... just to name a few. <br>
I would really appreciate a response.  <br>

         <description><![CDATA[Well, after a year of hovering between 190 and 196, this morning I stepped on the scale for the first time in weeks and saw &quot;201.&quot; For the record, I&#39;m 4 weeks into Anaconda Protocol 2; I haven&#39;t really changed any of my eating habits except for being faithful to the Protocol; for the past 4 weeks I&#39;ve gone from 3 (maybe 4) workouts to 5-6. <br>

Yesterday my lifting partner commented that my bench numbers are going up. Yesterday I hit a new PR (435) on Rack Deadlifts. My upper arms, forearms, and upper body in general are looking bigger (to me, anyway; I haven&#39;t taken measurements). <br>

Negatives? My waistline is far from &quot;tight&quot;--but I swear the bulk hasn&#39;t gone just to my waist: if I tighten my abs, I can &quot;pinch an inch&quot; that is the same that it was a month ago. (Yeah, I suppose I could &quot;cut&quot;; I just don&#39;t feel like it, okay? I don&#39;t believe there is a mechanical or evolutionary advantage to my abs being visible to someone else; I know they are there.) <br>

Reality Check: is 200 an important number? Not really; it&#39;s a nice big round one, and maybe I&#39;ve just been conditioned by all those threads years ago that divided the T-Nation membership into above-200 and below-200. But listen: everyone knows how to lose weight; gaining muscle is the hard part. At 51, with my window for gaining muscle rapidly closing, I&#39;m going to focus all my efforts on that side of things. <br>

To that end, I&#39;ve ordered the Anaconda Protocol 2 pkg on my own; Biotest sent me the first pkg as a gift. I might never have purchased it on my own--thinking it was too expensive or that simply my best days were behind me--but now I am attributing my gains to AP2, so I&#39;m sold. I&#39;ve spent spans in younger days working out 5-6 days/week and eating more, and haven&#39;t felt this good or felt I was making progress like this. I&#39;m also using their Mineral Support and Flameout, which I assume is also aiding recovery. <br>
 <br>
How long am I going to ride the Anaconda Train? I don&#39;t know. 205? 210? Will I reach a &quot;set point&quot; after which it all just goes to my belly and butt? No clue. But somehow I feel like I&#39;ve come off a years-long plateau, and I couldn&#39;t be more satisfied. <br>

         <description><![CDATA[ does anyone have any before/after photos that show a real difference?  its been a few months now and i havent seen anything other than a couple of guys that know what they are doing, went on an intentional bulk and let their bodyfat get slightly higher than normal.  in other words, yes they gained size and strength, but nothing happened that showed ANACONDA had a significant effect past what their diet and sound training techniques would have on their own.   <br>

id like to see average guys (or girls?) that never had their nutrition really dialed in, added this to their routine, and made the kind of progress they hadnt seen in a loooong time.  of course im paraphrasing here, but i believe this is what we were told the ANACONDA Protocol would do.   <br>

i purchased and went through 4 tubs of both ANACONDA and MAG-10, along with 4 or more boxes of FINiBARrs.  i did not make awesome progress, nothing out of the ordinary.  had good days and bad in the gym.  my body did not experience rapid muscle growth, or anything beyond what i would have expected in 3-4 months. <br>

maybe others have had the same experience i have, maybe im the only one.  one thing is for sure, i dont see a ton of progress pics in this section of the website, showing off all their ANACONDA results.   <br>

i gave it a fair shot, i shelled out the big bucks for it, hopefully thats earned me the right to voice my &quot;results&quot; and the products results on various types of T-Nationers.  <br>

**did a brutal leg session on this day, and felt incredible. I felt even better than using the entire original AP (3 FB, 3 A, and 2 M10). Maybe I just felt great on this particuliar day, so I&#39;ll have to do it a few more times to be sure. It&#39;s a little higher in carbs, but slightly lower in cals, although not significantly lower <br>

2. <br>
-60-90 1.5-2 caps Alpha-GPC <br>
-10 3 scoops Workout Fuel, 2 Anaconda, 1 MAG-10 <br>
**Did a &quot;Push&quot; workout, and again, felt great....even better than the above combination, but it was an upper body workout vs. lower body, so difficult to gauge. <br>
 <br>
I used only 1600 ml of water. This combo has less carbs than the above (96 vs. 142), less calories, and less water.  <br>
 <br>
I haven&#39;t figure out which combonation has a larger dose of Beta, leucine, casein hydrolyslate, etc...but I&#39;ve had a great experience with both combos. <br>
 <br>
If you&#39;re focusing on fat loss, these could be a great tool to have, while watching overall calorie intake. <br>
 <br>
I&#39;m not sure if this screws up the protocol in terms of optimal levels of taking in the most important ingredients mentioned above, but I&#39;ve been really pleased with how I&#39;ve felt during my workouts. <br>

CT or Mod Brian---Do these differing combonations from the first and second protocols reduce the effectiveness of what you guys have been advocating? I know it&#39;s not necessarily about the macro&#39;s of each protocol, but more about getting enough of the ingredients in each. <br>

My question is...if one were to consume the Finibars 30 minutes prior for the first protocol, or consume the first dosage of the second protocol 10 minutes prior to working out, would having a can of Spike in between, reduce the effectiveness of either protocol? <br>

         <description><![CDATA[My buddy &amp; I have been going hard at the I,BODYBUILDER program for 8 weeks now (4 weeks per phase to correct form, make gains, and become familiar with the workouts) and a question/thought came up that we wanted some pros/cons regarding. <br>

Q: Since we go at the program for 4 weeks at a time, it&#39;d be rouhgly 5 months until we come back to a given PHASE and we were concerned about not really, for example, working shoulders or back or whatever for that long of a period (other then twice a week with the full body workouts that are included). <br>

Q: Would there be a benefit to adding a week of the previous phase before the next one? (example: after 4 weeks of back, and we&#39;re about to get into legs, do 1 week of shoulders since we last did it over a month ago). <br>

For that reason, I cannot discount the possibility of experimental bias. And I&#39;m thinking, &quot;straight through the base of the skull.  Take out all that important junk, and this stops.&quot;  But, dammit, there is no gun, not really, but I really want there to be.  See, it&#39;s been four days since I&#39;ve slept, and six since I could take a step without feeling my knees buckle and my quads twist like dry wood in a fire.  And breathing, that&#39;s just a <i>bitch</i>. <br>

I have back issues, you see. <br>

These days, that collection of symptoms is pretty rare.  Normally I have the usual aches and pains, plus a dry twisting in my bones that makes everything suck.  Sometimes.  it&#39;s a fickle thing.   <br>

Anyway.  This applies to my training in that the constant irritation of my nervous system creates fatigue which simply can&#39;t be ignored.  This obviously effects endurance, muscle recruitment, and technical skill.  Supplementation is the only way I&#39;ve found to mitigate the effects.  And, through years of trial and error, I have a developed good feel for when something&#39;s working. <br>
 <br>
Beta Alanine was a gift from God, I believe.  Kept me from popping myself off, and got me through the worst of my issues.  Haven&#39;t used it for a few years, though.  Til the protocol.  And damn, had I missed it.   <br>
 <br>
Alpha-GPC, I was excited to try, as it would be a first.  Had heard interesting, if contradictory, things about it. <br>
 <br>
Everything else in the protocol, with the exception of the timing change to nutrient intake, was going to be new. <br>
 <br>

         <title>Perfecting Peri/Post WO on Protocol 2</title>

         <description><![CDATA[I hit the gym (with a workout partner) 5x week around 7am, without fail. I&#39;m usually up around 6am and down a shot of GPC (as prescribed) and start to sip on the anaconda 2 drink by around 6:30am...and continue during the workout and finish it about 15 mins after the workout. <br>

Question: Given that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, would it be ideal to eat breakfast as soon as I got up (few omega 3 eggs, some oats, etc) or wait until 30 mins post-workout and let the anaconda 2 drink serve as a &quot;wakeup meal&quot;? <br>

Just trying to fine tune the peri/post workout window and get the most out of my workouts/nutrition. ]]></description>
