While it's true that I brought religion into the discussion, I simply do not believe you when you say religion doesn't factor into the discussion. I do have a closed mind what religion is concerned, but from my point of view religion is not a prerequisite for having a conviction or belief.

It is necessary, nay vital, for a believer to maintain a position at all cost if that position acts as a foundation for religious beliefs. I've never denied that life in itself is a mystery, and I've always said that I don't know what that mystery is. These discussions are a way for me to come closer to an understanding of what it might be, but I don't think religion needs to be a part of that journey.

You can ignore the laws of physics.

Over the past weeks, reading various sources on morality, not one of them mentioned, or even alluded to, that morality is equal to laws of physics because of its metaphysical nature and that you therefore can attribute the same value to morality.

Can you point me towards articles or sites that explain your position/opinion on this?

Not to other conscious beings with freewill. If there are any, they are subject to it too.

Right. Well.. I just have to take your word for it.

Please baby, don't be mad. It doesn't really mean anything when I say that. Heck, I'd even take your word for it if it makes you feel better, but I thought we grew past that, y'know, as a couple.
