He throws that out there with other classic lines like,
"they're all raping the treasury.."
"the republicans failed to mention that the voting machines are made in Spain..."
And follows that by claiming that "there is no opposition to the party in power."
Somehow I bet Obama doesn't quite agree with that one.
Then ends urging us to "study ancient Rome...Hail Caesar."
No really this is a true classic post befitting of a thread entitled "Obama's birth certificate fails every test."
And he wants an explanation (eye roll)
Some of these people are just flat out frightening.

When did I say Spain was doing anything, other than being the home of the company that counts US votes?
Is this not alarming in itself? Am I crazy to want America to count its own votes?
You're probably right, our president right now isn't going nuts with one power grab after another, while the other party sits almost silently. Running up the debt to the GDP and beyond, that's not raping the treasury, you're right, I'm overreacting. Countries do that all the time and it always works out wonderfully for them.
Oh, and that whole thing in the NDAA where the gov. can now detain US citizens indefinitely based solely upon "suspicion" of being a terrorist... Don't worry about that stuff. After all, he promised not to use it, right?

Want proof? Follow this logic. All the US votes are now counted by machines owned by some company in Spain. The Republicans haven't so much as mentioned this on any major platform, if at all. There is no opposition party to the one in power. Two sides to the same coin.
What to know how this ends? Study ancient Rome. Hostium Intra. Hail Caesar.
The Democrats haven't mentioned that either.
Oh yeah and some car parts in "American" made cars are made in Japan!

I wouldn't expect the Democrats to mention anything even close to that until they didn't control the white house.
And as it happens, the Japanese autos could teach our car companies quite a few things when it comes to how to run a company. In fact, the Japanese owned plants in America are some of the best in the world, better even than the Japanese plants in Japan.

My point is, what's a birth certificate compared to an entire administration with essentially no regard for the law, or the greatness of the country?

I don't care where he or anyone else in the U.S. is born. I don't care if he or anyone else has a birth certificate, social security card, visa, etc. I care whether or not he and everyone else does the job they are elected/hired to do. Obama is no different from most politicians, he spends too much damn money. When financial difficulties are minor to non-existent, life gets a lot easier for everyone. Granted, there are plenty of other areas he can improve in, but I don't want to stray any farther from the topic.

While the spending is egregious, it is still a mistake to look past the blatant removal of all civil rights by enabling the DHS to detain anyone indefinitely for, in reality, anything they want.

No doubt! However, part of spending less money would be laying at least half of DHS off, since most of them perform poorly at their jobs as well. Perhaps the half that were left would pick up their slack in fear of losing their jobs, and, of course, they would need to be held accountable for stupid things, like the one that you mentioned.

I think you're going the completely wrong direction. First, the DHS has a very small fraction of the federal budget. Second, laying half of them off because they do their jobs poorly isn't the answer, eliminating the department is the answer.
This country doesn't need a new department for every problem we encounter, every time we encounter it. We already had the FBI, they needed to be restructured a little.
It's the quality vs. quantity thing at this point. And while we argue over more quantity, the quality only goes down, and our freedoms disappear while we're not looking.

Nope. Not anymore.
It used to be like a magicians trick where our freedoms "disappeared" from a slight of hand.
At this point the magician is more like a bully. There's not even a trick to it anymore, obvious tyranny is obvious.

There are a lot of different ways to look at it. Yes, there are way to many departments in our government! DHS employees are far from the only ones who need to be laid off. I was addressing DHS mainly because you brought it up, and a good friend of mine whom I've known since I was about 6 is a customs officer who works at 2 or 3 ports of entry in Vermont and New Hampshire. Every time I go back there, he tells me about how many millions they've pissed away on buildings, equipment, etc. on these few little, dinky entrances to the U.S. At one of these ports, he sometimes goes through an 8-hour shift without a vehicle crossing the border. He often wonders why this port of entry exists, and so do I. With that said, you are correct, him and his co-workers do have nearly unbelievable power. By far more power than any other law enforcement agency in the U.S. If police departments get the kind of power U.S. Customs has, everyone in this country is in serious trouble!

That's called pork barrel spending. Like fort-whatever in Maine, because we're really so worried about the British invading through Canada these days. Or all the bridges to nowhere. Or other shovel ready jobs. Where'd all that "stimulus" money go, anyway? Does anyone know?

DD do you really believe that the PUSA is being represented by an attorney that just passed the bar last year?
Come on people, we know he sucks as a president but there is no credible source here.
Information on the attorney if you want it.
