Okay ladies...I have a problem.

#1- I cant find any pants that will fit me. My thigh's are 24.5 inches and just seem to be getting more muscular. I can't find any pants that will fit me. I have a 27 inch waist and 36 inch hips so I COULD/SHOULD be wearing about a 6 or 7 and I can't fit my legs in 11/12's! ERRR! Are there any clothing lines out there that cater to a more muscular woman?

#2- I have a problem with my cheat meal. Well my cheat meal turns into a cheat weekend and I seem to be in a pattern and it is more of a habit now. I want to break this as I want to compete in MAY and I sure can't do it eating 20 organic oreo's a weekend. What are some tricks that you guys use...and what is the best way to get past this...not have a cheat meal at all...or cheat earlier in the week when I am on a schedule because I NEVER waiver during the week at all.

HELP! I love you guys!

I am attaching a pic of my legs so you can see my delima!

xoxo,
MANDA "g"

i have the same pants problem.... i think we all do! Gina Aliotti is coming out with a clothing line tho for girls shaped more like us.... personally i cant wait! :)

and as for the cheat meal... i try eat stuff that is more portion controlled... so when its gone, its gone and im done..

for example go out and get dinner so you get just one meal, or if your trying a new recipie only make enough for one meal, so you can enjoy it, but when its gone, its gone

and when you want to keep eating remember that cheat meals come around once a week, and it wont be forever until you get to eat that cookie! sometimes just taking a second to consider how short a week really is can be enough to make you wait :)

hope that hepled :)

Sometimes, it's best to not have a cheat meal. More so when it can get out of control. dana67 posted a link yesterday... so true!

Try Lucky brand or Angels jeans. They tend to be larger in the legs. Find stretch denim jeans, Tommy or Calvin have some good ones. But what works most often for me is, find whatever size fits you comfortably in the leg. Then have it tailored to your waist and butt by darting the back just above the pockets.

I also have a big problem with tops that have long sleeves. (a necessity here in the northeast winter).
The shoulders are too narrow, and the sleeves are as tight as blood pressure cuffs, if I can get my arms in at all. So I have to go to the "Plus size" department, find what fits in the shoulders and arms, then have darts put in both front and back.

Tailoring each garment runs from about 5 to 30 dollars extra for each piece of clothing you buy. Find good quality, classic styles and you can wear them through several years.

Summer clothes are easy. Tank tops and skirts fit just fine off the rack. Maybe I should move to a warm climate. I might save a lot of money on clothing!!

Amanda, sweetheart, that physique is definitely not a problem. Yikes.

My wife is a former world-class track cyclist and deals with this all the time. She doesn't have calves -- she has steers, and they are lovely. But it's tough for her to find boots that fit and jeans that clear her quads, particularly since she has a size-4 butt/hips. She's figured out several clothing sources for professional and casual stuff that works and are easily found. If you need those kinds of things -- stuff beyond what you've been directed to here -- let me know and I'll ask her to write up some suggestions.

You're not alone.

I would GREATLY appreciate that! I tried to see about Gina's stuff as talked about above...but its not up and running yet! I guess I gotta quit FIXATING on the size. I'm gonna have to get Olyesa to run by and get me a pair of these pants she has been talking about ;o)!

well anyways any suggestions would be awesome and thank you so much!

Girl...your legs look fantastic!!

It's definitely tough to find clothes that fit--I have problems with tops as much as bottoms because of my shoulders.

You'll always find me in tank tops & stretchy bottoms--I don't even remember the last time I found jeans that fit! Never mind professional clothes...I really don't know what I would do if I worked in an office!

SpeedRacer, I'd love to know what your wife's ideas are!! Thank you so much for helping us out!

1. I've read (most of!) your log and wanted to say you look absolutely awesome and you're an inspiration. Your abs are enviable :)

2. Your legs are HOT

3. I can commiserate- I don't have the leg issue, but I have a shoulder issue- I seem to bust out of the seems in garments that fit me everywhere else but the shoulders. It's a pain in my butt, and I can forget about wearing cute little cap sleeves, they cut off the circulation to my biceps. What to do, what to do!

4. I try to keep my cheat meal to Sunday dinner. I go to my folks house, and my dad is a GREAT cook, so I want to eat everything in sight there! I try the best I can to stick with my diet on Saturday. If I do end up going out to eat on Saturday, sometimes I'll just skip the family Sunday dinner (don't tell dad!) because I know I cannot resist.

My ARMS have always been to big...no matter if I am lifting or not to have those tappered sleeves. I flex and tear them! HA HA! I can't seem to get my shoulders to GROW so I don't have that problem! I finally like my legs so I am not upset about not fitting in the pants its just crazy that nobody out their caters to us HOT CHICKS...lol!

I am happy to find out that the new fashion for the FALL and WINTER ARE WIDE LEG PANTS so we should have more clothes to wear soon ladies!

I want to thank you all for chimming in cause I sure needed it...cause I wasn't happy about that after getting home yesterday!

xoxo!

Try joe jeans. I promise they are worth every penny and they have a fit for all body types.

I second this!!!

Girl, I can TOTALLY relate to your problem. A few weeks ago I broke down crying to boyfriend... absolutely depressed that none of my clothes fit me anymore (granted this is a good thing, I'm more muscular now) but soooo frustrating to find not only something that fits, but something which looks good on a muscular frame. I'm 5'9 almost 5'10 with a big butt, large quads, and tiny waste....finding something to fit my long and muscular legs is nearly impossible.

If you are taller, like me, I would recommend Joe's jeans. Yes they are $145, but soooo worth it! They are long and come in a variety of styles...I really like "the rockstar"...only problem is once you wear designer jeans its hard to go back to something else. Sometimes you can luck out at TJmaxx or Nordstrom rack and find some of these jeans for a lot less money. Good luck...if you find anything cute, PLEASE let us all know!!!! :)

Well, my wife is too self-conscious at the moment to write something up, which is odd being the stud she is.

What she did say was that Ann Taylor has a couple of cuts of business/business casual slacks for women that fit her every time. I'll try to find out what the cut is named.

She also said that Nordstrom's typically has nothing that works; that Lucky does usually but that they change styles and cuts too often to be wholly reliable, so you have to try a few on; and she has several brands of stretchy jeans and slacks that work like a champ.

I'll go peek in her closet and report.
