Chris Shugart: @jtbrown: Very difficult to get everything you need from a vegetarian diet without a lot of supplementation. Also, if she's a "healthy" vegetarian (as opposed to what I call a Twinkie vegetarian), too much fiber can also cause more problems than adequate fiber intake fixes. But digestive issues are complex, so it's very tough to guess the causes because there are so many varied causes. Make sure she's getting iron and saturated fat (coconut oil) as well.

jtbrown0511: @CS / all: Hey everyone quick question here. My girlfriend is a vegetarian and has some digestive issues. Do you think being vegetarian can cause digestive problems and that being vegetarian does not allow you to be getting all the necessary nutrients our bodies need? I'm trying to convince her to eat meat again. Thanks in advance.

Jesse Irizarry: @phatphit - I agree with DSSG and PhilGER. These are pretty basic movements if you're trying to stay as strong as you can.

PhilGER: @phatphit-I can't find any high-risk exercises in Jesse's article..the dinstinction between training and working out to stay strong is kinda wishy-washy the way you put it...all the above described exercises can be useful getting stronger and staying strong.

DSSG: What do you mean? Everything looked about as safe as a legitimate squat/deadlift/bench/row will ever be, or even slightly more safe. If you have herniated every disk in your spine/it is incredibly degenerated does that make deadlifting dangerous for you? It probably would, but not for everyone else who is healthy, and has proper mobility/movement patterns.

phatphit: some of these exercises are so unnecessary..risk/reward kinda thing. not all the readers here are training, im just working out staying strong as i can.
