Wow, thought it was an elbow at first. Christmas comes early for Mayweather.

As a huge Pac fan, I have to admit that KO was awesome. Top 3 of the past decade. One second to go and I thought Pac was going to finish Marquez. Pac had Marquez on the ropes, then BAM, Pac is asleep for a few minutes. Oh well.

Time for Pac to retire cuz he has too much on his plate. As an analyst said before the fight, Pac is 50% concentrating on Marquez. On the other hand, Marquez is 100% concentrated on killing Pac.

I'm as sad as the day when RJJ got KO'd by Tarver.

Agree. Pac has too many responsibilities and goals now. If he wanted to fight and only fight, I think he could still do it. But you can't focus with a house divided. which isn't a bad thing, as he has done a lot of things for his country and is very involved in great ways. But like CroCop started to go downhill the more he focused on his legislative career and other goals outside the ring, same here. All focus, or time to hang it up. Difference is CroCop wasn't in the same boat as Pac, and I feel like cro would have ended much sooner anyways based on his career track.

And I'm sad too. I love manny. But he made a couple of the same mistakes he was making in the last fight, and which he should have worked on eliminating.

WTF was Pacquiao doing? How are you going to lunge in like that throwing a jab at the body against a counterpuncher like Marquez? Disrespectful.

I'm so damn happy for Marquez. Truly. That man has been through wars, building up to and waiting for this moment for most likely his entire life, and he finally got it.

Good to see great things happen to a good man.

who thinks marquez is on drugs?

his strength and conditioning guy was involved in balco

he is nearly 40 and is much much bigger than he used to be

he has moved up alot of divisions and is delivering knock out punches

and who thinks pac is clean?

alot of the above can be applied to him also

lots of boxers getting done for drugs lately too

please do not say i am disrespecting them or some BS it is a completely legit line of questioning

A champ is on PEDs? Now that's a novel thought!

Of course - let me set up my completely legit IHS (Internet Hearsay Steroidar) first.
Then we can debate this scientifically over, I dunno, 30 thread pages.
Sound good?

So is Larry Merchant. I mean, 80 years old and challenging Mayweather to a fight?

It's all the juice brah.

was rooting for pacquiao but can't feel bad at all for the winner, a man that dedicated his entire life t boxing(can't say the same for pac) anyone wo disagrees about them not fighting a 5th time is insane!!! this only lasted 6 rounds and was by far the most exciting fight in years. to those who say manny should retire: come on!! he was winning the fight and had broken jmm nose up until he was put to sleep by him. He hasn't declined at all. hopefully getting knocked the fuck out! will help him understand that he has to do one thing at a time to be great.

edit: he has declined but certainly isn't Roy Jones JR... who by the way is an excellent commentator!

Marquez is a great fighter. It will be good to hear his name mentioned with the likes of Morales and Barrera of great Mexican fighters of the last decade and a half.
