:D!! Hey Z! I hope the pull ups go well!! Those bastards ( pull ups) are always bastards and every one counts!

Thank you SNAP!! Happy Thanksgiving to you!!!

:D! Thank you HKD!!! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

I had a great one! Started out with farmers walks.
Farmer's walks 137#/ hand x misc distance. DEAR ME these were a task. Adding ten pounds really made a difference that's for fucking sure. But as always they were fabulous and fun. Not as fast as last week but they were donezo.

OH, so the picture. I am so pleased. SO PLEASED!!!!! :D!!!

While doing Thanksgiving stuff I was hanging out with my twin (real twin that is). We were in the garage of my parents' house and she shyly, casually, asked me if I had seen her handles. YES, her handles!! She got herself some farmers handles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OHH!!!HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 I have been quietly trying for years- low key, low pressure- to encourage my twin to lift because I think she'd really like it and she's strong. Those freaking handles did the trick! GATEWAY HANDLES.

She told me she thought they looked fun! OH HEAVEN BE!! :D! This is great news ! Not only for her since she will love them, but selfishly for me because she's a brainiac and can figure out all kinds of ways to make us new strongman equipment to use!!! I tried to give her some tps but I was so giddy and distracted I kept repeating myself of how great this is!

My beating heart!! My Twin wants to lift!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Of course she found hers on craigslist, some dude had made them himself, but they are solid handles. The picture above is of one. Fuckin A!!

Hey Scotto! Yeah, they are tilted up. She got them for cheap from the guy on craigslist because he made them himself and he didn't think they worked well for him. I can see maybe it not being a good idea when you load more or thicker plates, kinda not sitting right on it. I think for her they will work out fine!

She is starting from scratch for lifting but she's pretty strong already, good upper body strength. She drives big rigs and has to unload a lot of crap from the trailers often. Bumpin tires and stuff. I taught her some bb complexes a while ago and she really liked them but stopped doing them.

GEEZ. Before this she raved about some wild cardio video she and my other sisters liked..they are for the most part supportive of me lifting but I know they think every wt weights the same kinda if that makes sense. Like lifting is some kinda hobby or craft versus a whole lot more, and as for fitness-- cardio and soy milk are the best in their LA eyes... Yoga and cardio being the prime of their (my family's) idea of fitness...I hope the handles don't disappoint her! I can't see how they could.

Best of luck on getting her more involved in lifting. I like to look at it as showing them the light. It is not for everybody but I almost need it to start my day.

Thanks HKD! I haven't heard from her this week..wonder if she tried them.. Fr sure its not for every body and I am also a snob enough to admit I don't like helping just anybody either! :)

last nights pull ups were kinda shitty. My hand really messed up the first set but then i got my act together sorta.
5 sets of 10, sets of 7 and stuff until I got to 94. Lame

If she doesn't like the handles you might find them under the tree with a bow and your name on the tag. Along with powdered soy milk.

OH WORD-- That would be nice Silverblood! still no word...still no word..

Today
farmer's walks
144# / hand for a 1/4 of the normal misc distance-- this took forever! Bastard weight! But I wanted t do it.
137# / hand for the remaining 3/4 of the misc distance. Went far better then last week, and wel far better than the 144. I had a bit of a break thru realizing if I ab out its FAR easier. So I did the full on clench out ab attack and got much further than I had before.

AB IT OUT.

last night pull ups
7 sets of 10, misc sets of 6 -2 for a total of 102

GROSS. I've been fighting a migraine from hitting full force for 2 weeks or so. Last night and today was not quite a full blown one but the threat is there. Usually a good dose of caffeine , midol, and a nap makes them stop but it never really hit hard but never really went away from being a headache for days.

Sometimes lifting helps too, but not today. I was frothing at the mouth with drool and slobber on most of the lifts.. I called out of work and will rest , but I did try some fs today.

Watching the white dust fall from the sky this morning; glad your feeling better Miss F...nice F.S.

Thought of you at the Rec Center...when I looked up and discovered a few pullup bars/handles. There up, over your head; who would think to look up there? But there they were....and then I walked away BUT...now I know.

And knowing, is half the battle.

Someone decorated a 'Charlie Brown' tree in City Park overnight. No pic, but I'm hoping the spirit will spread in our fair city. In all of our cities actually.

AWW Z! A hA! :D!!! Well its good to know those pull up bars are there should the need arise!! The weather lately is way cool too!

I don't even have a tree this year! But word, I am planning a zoo lights trip this year with my family. ZOO LIGHTS are the bomb!

Today
deads 45x6, 135, 205, 255, 285, 305
315x2 x 2 sets, 315 x 6 singles
popped the belt on and did 315 x 1

I am starting to like that stinking belt! I need to adjust the thing though, I am using my lever belt since I went crazy and lent my other prong nice belt to my sister when I was so excited about her getting handles--which she hasn't used yet or at least not told me so :(

Alas, I do enjoy that belt. I used it to get the last dregs of distance on my farmers walk thursday when I just needed to get to my freaking car with the wt's and it was delightful and very helpful. Makes me AB it out!

ALSO I picked up some deadlifting tips from some article somewhere and for once they worked! The thing I changed was were I put the bar. I've had it in my head for the longest to have the bar to begin with touching my shins, I thought that was how to do it! Like grind it up your legs.

UH! I tried it with the bar over the middle of my feet and its tons better! TONS!!!! Very pleased with this revelation! I think it was some article about hip replacement. I kinda high hip it I think and they advise some whatever tips..who cares?? It worked!

monday nights pull ups
12, 3 sets of 10, 9,9, 8...etc misc sets to make a total of 103

todays
fs 45x6, 115, 180, 20, 210, 220, 225
had a bit of a kinda swelly feeling in my old back injury from last year. FUCK THAT! I dropped the wt down. My form I felt great but..no chances taking in for that shit. I would have stopped completely but I think easing down is a bit wiser or I'd just clamp up.
180x10, 180x8, 180x6, 180x5
bar only zerchers x10
mp's 45x10, 55x10, 60x10
back extensions

NO NO NO. No injury coming back. I gotta stretch this thing out. It doesn't hurt , just feels swollen. I am not letting that happen again! Might have some slowness here to just be careful about it.

Tell Santa you need a dozen or so massages with pedicures thrown in.

OH LA LA Silverblood! I would LOVE a pedicure! I've never had one!! I Some snazzy nails would be FABULOUS!

No lifts yesterday, but I did some ghr's and lots of back extensions. Also just normal activity and stuff and my back is feeling fine.

Today's farmers walks were a JOKE!!! HA!!! I guess its about time I had a session like this of just spastic can't get my act together madness. Not even good. I started with 144#/ hand and got about 45% of my normal distance and I had to call it it was just stupid, I just was stopping so much

I did however decide to unload some plates yet had no other choice but to get the bars to the car one way or the other. I popped on the belt and I did 112# / hand for a pretty good clip at a good distance back. Next week will be less wt and more distance for speed. My quads really enjoyed that last sprint! So that's that.
