I'd try the dead lift version just for funzies, also though I know they are strongman type training thing--stones and that kidna idea I think. I also have learned Zercher lunges are an idea to try too!

God I love zerchers--I used to hate them before I gave them a chance too. They make you feel so fatigued afterward in a hardy, plowed the field, clean way! Just gotta be careful of my elbows, but for sure they work your lats, abs, butt, hammies. Put some hair on my chest type stuff!

NO HAIR ON YOUR CHEST!!! You'll ruin an old mans fantasy of hot Viking women damn it!

AHHHHH Z MAN!!!!! Its good to see you again! :D!!!!

I do indeed remember our mismatched paths as well!! Should you be in Wheat Ridge ever you might see me N Mossi out walking!!! I moved there about a year ago! I hope you're doing well!!! :D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am still not really back on track with things and this is the training that happened this week
pull ups from wednesday
11, 4 sets of 10, 9, 4 sets of 8

thursdays
fs 45x8, 115, 170, 190, 205, 215, 225
180x10, 190x5, 200x3, 210, 220
185x6, 195x4, 205x3, 215
anderson zerhcers 205x5 x5 sets

Today
farmers walks with 225 total x not sure how far. Multiple stops, but a decent total distance. I am figuring out the lil stutter steps as well.

I am a bit proud of my enginuity. Not sure how long it'll last or tolerate more wt but since my clips don't work on The Twins, I tied up stuff with dog leashes to keep the plates in place-- it worked! I just need to get some real rope and a few decent sailors knots, I think I can manage without the $60 a pair Rogue clips for the handles. We'll see!

I like the handles! I feel it much more in lats compared to t-bar stuff which I felt mostly in my butt and legs. I miss the t bar a bit but my hands definitely like the handles more. The diamond plate stuff on the t bar is not kinda after a while. I will mix it up for carries but its wonderful being able to be alone and not have to deal with the hassle at my gym form the lamers. A park with a field by my house worked great for a place to trudge around in.

The field. I walked to the goal post thing and back. MANY stops in between.

A bit of a Dear Diary moment: I got asked by a friend a bit offhandedly--but still I believe seriously-if I would consider dating him. Totally out of the blue.

WORD!!! I accept any and all compliments-- flattery too! My God, I learned to take whatever lil happy stuff is offered to me and promptly clutch it to my chest! I wear this lil positive thought like a scarf around my neck!

:)! HA HA HA!!!!! :D!!! And the answer is I would consider it. We shall see or maybe we won't--but still a spring in my step fo sure.

:)!

did some more walking this weekend with Mossimo. It feels so wonderful with walking by his side! Super lucky to have such a cool dog.

Anyho, today I wanted to also get some upper back in at the gym. Its a saturday. What a mistake. :( I did rows and stuff. To a point,

Its becoming a big problem for me-- the atmosphere there. Or I am letting it get to me. Saturdays I typically avoid the building since its going to be packed and its going to be packed with meatheads and figure/physique chicks wearing corsets on the stair mill and annoying dudes of ALL ages jacked up on testosterone and pre-work out hooting and hollering. I gotta pull myself together.

I seriously hate when its crammed with them. I do admit I feel judgemental, but the degree of vanity, self centeredness, and conceit, all fueled on people who haven't had carbs in 5 years and its a recipe for pissing me off and feeling gross. I can just see it in their eyes the madness! It used to make me feel bad for them but not anymore. You should see them talking, they just talk over each other's sentences, not listening just blurting out stupid shit talking at the other person!!

!!! Not my thing at all! All the giant hummers, souped out stupid cars outside just read DOUCHE so hard..the tans..the bad tattoos, how they all look the same with the same bad taste in the same bright colored clothes....I gotta chill out man.

Also what is super annoying is the still haven't fixed the ghr!!! Today was a giant fail as I'm doing it and the entire back part your feet go in goes totally sliding out of place and lopsided. I got so pissed I just left. I don't even want to talk to the owner about fixing things since I don't like him. Its close those, that gym is less than a mile away. Just need to go avoid high velocity douche times.

So...you, Moss, and 'the twins' walking around in Wheat ridge. I'm guessing you do not get bothered much?

And the gym sounds like a real treat! Just south of 44th and Kipling is it?? Just wondering, I go by Drum City/Guitar Land now the then, over in that area.

I train at the Wash Park rec center. Not your hood, but some centers are better than others. Might be worth a look, if you haven't already.

To your gym story, I did hear a conversation about the cost of various elements of 'workout' gear at my gym. Two 20-ish guys, comparing shoes/clothes ect....I listened closely, as I admired the fit of my Nike DryFit zippered polo,2$ at GoodWill, in the mirror.
Trust me, it's much neater than it sounds.

Great Lifting.

Looks like the twins are doing well. Did you give them formal names? Or just the twins. Sounds like your gym is a bit of a drag on the weekends, that is too bad. Hopefully walking the puppy makes the day better. Congrats on the dating prospect.

Let's see. You've just hooked up with a pair of hot twins and already have them on dog leashes taking them for walks.
Good thing you have pictures to explain what's going on.......
or are those really the twins you're talking about?

HA HA! Well thanks Z! I do infact live really close to the Wheat Ridge rec center and have never been in it more then for some work meetings. HOWEVER. They do have huge indoor water slides WHy haven't i tried them out before?? HA HA! I think I will.

Yeah, the gym is Armbrust Pro Gym. "The gym for everyone", except if you go at peak hours then its the gym for bros and doucehrs. But I admit the early bird hardbodies--usually people who've been lifting forever and are in their 40's to 50's are a nice crowd. All seven of them. I live right on down 44th, so its very convenient. A bit of a crazy neighborhood sometimes, but the druggies typically mind their own business and Moss out weights most of them.

:D!! Thanks HKD! We'll see. :) nO real name for the Twins just yet. Still getting to know em!

I will say those twins are really popular with all audiences. I've been excitedly posting pictures on my fb like a dork and some of my non lifter friends seem to be excited about em which is always nice. They just look fun! And they are fun!

:D Silver blood! They are indeed! If you remeber PMPM, she gave me some advice on getting some stuff from home depot to use as clips! So the dog leashes will have to last at least until I get paid next.

Today was ok. Short, ok.
deads 45x10, 135, 205, 255, 295, 300, 320, 330

Thanks Silverblood! Its between some fancy new pants..or a t bar of my own. OR..yeah, just between those two!

Today I took out the handles again. MAN do I such at holding them! But its just so fun! I added some wt and I guess it was too much but I had already tied the dog leashes so I just went for it. TONS of stops, I couldn't hold em for longer than 4 or 5 feet! Just my grip su, or something sucks so badly which is the whole point I suppose. HA!

But it was really enjoyable and a total task. I feel tired and sore so it did something. I do need to figure out how to train that and what my goal is I suppose. ANYWHO

farmers walks
265 total wt (132-133#) per arm for misc distance with stops stops stops. I guess kinda suitcase deadlifts with a lil bit of prancing in between.

then the distance with a 45 per arm back and forth. At one point I had to run because the guy was mowing the field with a big tractor and I had to get out of the way.

deads 45x11, 135, 205, 255, 285, 305, 320

DUDE. Its this stinking left hand's middle finger's callous is such a bastard! I filed them down but it just always so tender! THAT I think is my stupid grip issues. I am going to try some wild foam tape over it to cushion it and see if it helps. Or learn how to use straps.

Lots of good stuff in here, I would use straps for the farmers walks since you are doing weighted carries for distance. Those farmer handles look bad ass, if you have anyone who is handy as a friend they could lend you pony clamps for collars.
