It looks like the deadlift is still very strong, good work.

Congrats on getting that thing out of your septum, so you used a bolt cutter on your face or let some one else do that. I can only imagine what that would have looked like to some one looking in the window while that was going on. I could see a concerned citizen calling the police if they saw that going on.

The photo with your sisters is beautiful.

:D!! Thanks HKD! I still am really pleased! SO HAPPY!!! AH HA HA!! I did not do it on my own.. my sisters had to hold me down and blindfold me! And it was a real scene for sure!

pull ups yesterday, I am doing them in clusters..not sure how I feel about it but ..mpfh. It'd take a bit t list them out, did a total of 80

even tried a hamstring curl thing for the first time in at least 16 years. I remember why I don't do them..they pull on my back all weird, or I pulling my back all weird doing them. I just can't stand machine work, I start and seriously lose all interest and need to leave the gym.

Well I seem to be under a bit of lack of motivation the last few weeks. Its ok I guess. I have been choosing sleep over the morning lifts before work on the work days and its showing in my strnght but....I'm not too upset over it.

Monday's deads were a joke, but.. I don't really care!
45x5, 135, 205, 255, 285,305, 320 that was all I did.

Tuesday I slept in before work..did not lift.

Wednesday I did do pull ups.
11, 10, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 8, 7 then sets of 5 to make a hundred or so

today

I saw this article on how to learn to do a front lever--kinda a gymnastic type bar technique, I am trying it out! Its a lot of ab and lats. Why not? I can do the tuck part ok, maybe can go further if i do it fresh in the morning before lifting.

I am bored with my routine so it might be a mess here until I figure out something to drive me a bit. Get a new routine to prepare for the cold days to come.

Actually..that is part of why I am phasing out the carries for a bit. I've developed kinda counter productive callouses on my left hand in particular for deadlifts!

I need some straps most likely, but the t bar I use has handles that are in a way that my left hand- which is my under hand for deadlifts ( mixed grip for deadlift ) gets all munched up but has some nice callouses from holding the bar, they match my right hand.

If I did dead lifts just with hook grip for both hands it'd be fine, but the shift around and the callouses just make it hard to get a hold, its just silly. Its annoying because I feel stronger form doing the carries in my grip itself but haven't figured out a way to fix this stupid mechanical error. I don't like hook grip either so that's out the window. If this makes sense?

I broke off a pretty intense passionate relationship- I guess you can call it that-- this weekend and it sucks. He used to be the sun in my skies, but over a decade of back and forth displayed the same thing over and over again. This is the second really big fight, and its not even a fight. Less and less of the real relationship comes back each time we stop talking to each other for months or years, then its a sort a timid reunion--and to be truthful its also a reunion under severe emotional stress for him.

I fight it at first very hard and hold off against any contact, but I relent. He reaches out to me for comfort a bleeding mass of a person and comes back when he is incredibly down and I swallow it up trying to help and being a dummy the whole time, each time I am less of a dummy, each time I am more aware of it begin my choice to offer things to him. Can't be mad as I try and claim some honor I guess in accepting my responsibility in it. It has always been my choice.

Then he gets on his feet again, make the same choices as always, then its this again. He doesn't want me as a friend which I desperately need in a partner, he just wants to posses me, and can't get over his own issues to be a supportive partner to anyone and crosses boundaries that I myself get very personally hurt by, I use to think it was only me but I know now just what i used to put up with thinking it was worth it. We are not a match and never have been. But it still sucks, however its been sucking for months and months.

Whatever. So this might be part of the loss of my fire. It was bound to happen. Sounds trite but this time I don't think I can even say I want to be his friend anymore. We are both getting older and the way he is isn't even remotely cute anymore and I honestly never thought it was, the drama which I never liked at all is just is childish and a waste of time. Not a match, not worth it. I truly hope no one thinks this way about me, I guess that is a way to think of it as a lesson. Fucking lessons.... :{

Sorry to hear that, it's never easy making a break with someone who has meant a lot to you at some point in your life. Friendship is a reciprocal relationship, if there isn't a lot of positive, supportive, awesome stuff coming back at you (I am assuming you are awesome to them) then they aren't a friend they are an acquaintance at best. I struggled setting my boundaries and found myself with a lot of "friends" when in fact a few true friends are priceless.

Okay that is all way too deep for me, good deadlifts and stuff

I also felt a bit of childish glee. Apparently at my gym, when you pay for a trainer ...they unrack and rack the wts for you. I saw it with my own eyes.

A decent sized dude who was getting spotted for smith machine squats- had maybe 315 or so loaded on there and he was doing some kinda higher reps so I'll give him that maybe 10 screaming reps--OH and wearing knee wraps too for quarter dept sorry I am childish!-- had the trainer loading and unloading the plates for him while he lay on his back on the floor between sets.

I have no issues with the dude lifting- he could be injured, he could be a body builder, he also can just can do whatever he wants.. whatever...just..well..tee hee hee! SORRY!!

Smith Machine Squats, Spotter, Knee Wraps, Quarter Depth, ..trainer unloads and loads the plates. I guess you pay for it so word. And I delight seeing the jerk trainer rack and unrack--one who has given me shit before for noise with zerchers. I am an asshole! And it perked me up in a pretentious powerlifter way! ;)

I am an assole ha ha ha ha!!!!

Brute you crack me up. A twin dating twins probably a really good story in there. Lots of room for development. Enjoy the twins. Are they identical or do you think you will be able to tell them apart?
