Oh Lula--I DO need to do the wild push up smackdown. I managed 3 sets of 11 ..but lost my attention span a few days ago. I'm working up to a set of 20.
Thanks 2b! Been a while since I full force socked it :)
Hey pixie! Yep! I thing just thinging about my elbows will help alot.
I haven't worked on back squats at all the past week--no reason, just ahven't
Actually there is a reason. A very antisocial, vampire one. I hate the sun. And the time I go to the gym before work its HIGH NOON. I hate driving in the sun! So the closest gym is a 24 fitness a mile or so away which is pretty packed most of the time, and then the 15min drive to RMLC, which I'd have all to myself. I try and avoid driving in Aurora ( city rmlc is at) as much as possible since the drivers tend to drive like they are in Tijuana.
So yeah. I'm an asshole who can't take that amount of frustration along with the sun before work.
I type like this because I just came home from driving in Aurora still annoyed and irritated.
today
fronties 140x5, 170x4, 190x4 x 2 sets, 200x2 x 2 sets, x1
135x5, 155x5, 185x3 x 2 sets.
that's it..I left for another antisocial issue. Some dude and his two girl friends were stalking me on the rack. Walked up to me after I started to ask how many sets I had left which I told him a while.
Fair enough. But he just annoyed me. Then made a big show of deadlifting his 315 or whatever he did. I just get so douched out by guys who do the gym show at the gym.

I will be even more in love with you if you front squat 225.
Never mind thinking about pushing your elbows when you're coming out of the hole, I think about trying not to fart. Front squats make me fart... more than any other lift. Just something to focus on next time you're front squatting. That should keep the guys away from the rack.

POWER!!! :) I know :( Its hard to keep track of everyone's exploits. I try and check on everyone and lurk too. I find registering for other forums annoying though. I LURK!! I LURK and send waves of powervibes to everyone of you!!!
o!! Its only fair I share my inspiration for front squat with you. She's got me beat and it keeps me going!..if not jealous and highly envious! Molly used to post here a bit. Her fb updates on fronties exploits drive me insane with jealousy. I've yet to try them with a ss bar...but SHIT!! BAMM.

I did front squat with a SSB and 'cuz my hand/wrist are short and not limber I found it easier to hold and thus easier all around to front squat w/SSB.
In fact, I think after my meet, I will go back and add these in...thanks for the reminder.

PIXIE!! I KNOW!!! :D
Sufiandy--> Isn't Molly the coolest? She is a really good person from what I have known of her. NICE, humble, hot, just very positive :)
Power--> I really dig the fronties. You should totally mix em in!!
today
coan week 2 dl
280, 280 x 2
speed dl's 235x8 x 3 sets
circuit -- each exercise for 8 reps, three circuits with minimal rest
dl 245x8,
bent over row 100x8
gm's 135x8
pull downs x8
Then I had some fun with the camber bar. Its a camber bar or a ssb i'm not sure which. Worked regular squats
Not sure how much the bar weights, but if it was just 45--which i think its more then 45-- then these are the numbers. I can't really memorize new math anyways.

:D thanks power :D well that makes me feela bit better about my back squats. I've decided to just train them on that for now. I likehow the ssb makes me spread my knees and drive up.
today was annoying and full of fails :{ But I gave it nearly my all. Not all of my all :)
fronties 145x5, 165x5, 185x4, 205x3, 210,fail IRRRRRR at 225
amped it up again. 185x4x2 sets, 195x3, 215 FAIL.
FINE. 175x5x5 sets
messed with the camber bar for fronties. Got up to 205, then a fail at 215. I guess I'll just have to wait on that PR.
Played around since I was at the turbo gym and didn't want to go out in the snow. Some kettle ball swings,a few kettle ball snatches. Also some snatches with the oly wts. HA :D It was fun to dunce around.

today was a misc day. started out at 24 hour
ohs 135x12,138x10
clean and jerk--111, 121, 133, 133 fail to cleanup 138.
I'd like to get better at cleans. I watch the California Strength gym youtube channel every week to get hyped up for pull ups. Its mesmerizing.
Then I went to store, got gas. Wanted to do ghr's. So went to RMLC
ghr's 5 sets of 7 --not full range of motion but I'll get there
abs wheel and my first ever time doing face pulls. They're ok for a pulley exercise. I hate pulley shit.
Got excited and decided that I'm going to finally train my back squat but use the ssb exclusively.I have so much backlogged neuro and muscle memory for my fucked up squats that I need a whole new exercise to start with. The ssb definitely helps me drive my knees out and arch up. I also feel like its more quad dominate which I'm a bit as well. I also feel its much easier to tell where depth is using this vs a regular bar when I kinda just bomb down.
So i'm starting sheiko with it.I had a random sheet of it in my bag so I followed it. I'll start it over the next time do it
ssb back squats 150x5x2 sets, 185x3 x 2 sets, 210 x 3 x 2 sets, 220 x x x 3 sets
150 x5, 160x5, 185x3 x 2, 210x2 x 4 sets
did some very limited angle dips off the bench 5 sets of 5

hey brute, glad you're showing the luv to the SSB....it does push you forward so I can see where you think it uses more quads. be sure you're arching your back to stay as upright as possible though.
