I suffered an injury (some type of sciatica/piriformis thing) about 10 months ago, and it killed my strength in all the lifts. I'm finally back though- I regularly squat 605 and just last week I pulled 615. Now to compete, then get leaner and stronger.
IM a novice (was) to the site and powerlifting...but doesn't stop me setting high goals haha, current deadlift pr 250kg (pounds? IM from the uk) hopefully ill hit 272.5kg in 10weeks for the British championships???fingers crossed

I'm officially putting my name in to reach 600lbs before my birthday in August.
today I pulled 500x4 AFTER my regular work sets because I was feeling really good.
*note: the 4th rep was not a drop...I threw the weight down because I got a little too excited. Shit happens.

I'm no where near in the squat current best is only 425lbs. The deadlift how ever I just broke 505lbs last Thursday so I think I am going to jump in here.

I would like to think I will attain both again by the summer. Some old injuries work related and sports related take a toll on a 40 year old body! lol I injured myself playing semi pro football in 2009, and became a chicken shit with anything to do with my neck or back...until recently. I am definately not pulling or squatting in the 600lb range right now, but low 500's isn't bad.

Officially squatted 600 in competition last weekend. Missed a 605 pull. I squatted 615 in the gym, but royally fucked up my weight cut the day before (cut 15 lbs, but wasn't at weight until 6pm the night before) and could only squeeze out 600 on meet day. Forgot I was on this thread, but glad I found it again! Good luck everyone.

Why do you rebreath at the top of the lift instead of resetting in the bottom. Not criticing your stronger than me at least sumo but if I tried to rebreath at lockout I believe I would pass out.

I try to get in as much air as possible before I lift, and I can achieve that better at the top vs. the bottom. Hence my huge breath of air before I pull on my 1st rep.
Can I join in on DL only? Have some knee issues, which are god awful enough that I don't even bother squatting anymore, but... Finally pulled 585 in training. Hoping to jack up my pulling power to 600 by summer.
