I don't consider 405 a strong squat (and yes I can squat 405) unless you're under 180. It does feel good to get, but it's just a stepping stone to 500 or 405 for reps.

I do respect anyone moving 315+ for reps on deep squats. Shows that you've put forth some effort. Unless you're on stuff or a genetic freak, that will take a lot of hard work to get.

Good luck to all of you. If you're at 365+ I would recommend the first cycle of Smolov. It got me over the hump.

While 405 is far from a world-class squat, it is a giant stepping stone. Like you, I've hit this and higher many times before. However, unlike you, I've never felt the need to volunteer this information in a thread dedicated to those who are helping each other try to achieve it. Nor have I ever felt the need to validate any lifter who hasn't his this milestone yet. I understand the importance of squatting 4 plates, and never would I attempt to patronize any fellow lifter for their achievement.

Nobody cares what you consider to be strong. I guess what I'm trying to say is that you're a complete assbag. I figure I should give you my reasons for ignoring your posts, in the hope that you'll stop being such a raging mega-douche.

Hit 418lbs (190kg) this past weekend at a 100% Raw Meet

Been a lifetime goal to squat 4 plates or a bit over and feels great to have achieved it!
Sheiko ftw! haha!

In. I don't have any footage but my max low bar was 155kg. I've since switched to high bar. I'd say I could hit 155-160. I aim to hit 180kg (405) in july. The transition has been really smooth and my form is a lot more solid than my low bar ever was.

I'll get in on this, but for front squats.

At 325 right now.

I don't consider 405 a strong front squat unless you're under 180. I bet it will feel good, but it's just a stepping stone to 500 or 405 for reps.

Seriously though, nice looking squat. Good work and good luck.

Hah! Don't get me wrong a 405 Front Squat is still just a stepping stone. My long term goal is 500 FS/650ish BS. Assuming that is possible naturally.

I know 405 is, I'll get it before the year is over.

hahaha you posted 1 month ago:

nice front squat though. I'm in on this and am 100+ lbs off. Once I get 405 I'll feel like I'm finally past that beginner stage.

I'm in. 425 deadlift but best squat is a rough 315. This shittiness deserves a focus cycle.

make sure your form is really solid before starting Smolov, I had great gains off of it but lost them all and more as I had to take months off squatting because of knee pain. I'm going to give starting strength a try for lower body and will see how it goes

Hit 330 today. (Maxing out FS/BS alternating every day this week and then doing 2x2)

I know 315 is nothing to brag about, but it's so sweet when it's coming up smoothly.

Just hit a 315 squat today, so now I guess I'll be a part of the race to 405!

guys I dicked. let my ego get to big and fucked my back up a little deadlifting on Wednesday. currently running sheiko where it called for 330x5x3 and could barely get 1 rep. I wasn't in too much pain but after that I just stopped cause I didn't wanna push anything to hard and make it worse. I've had this same issue before with my back but it's always taken forever to heal because of football, any idea how long it would take to get back to normal? any tips? other than my sad attempt at a workout today I've basically been laying around.
