Dan Trink: @Sparty I like that you moved up your during-workout and post-workout nutrition to complement your training schedule. On your high days, I would suggest including carbs at all meals throughout the day BESIDES evening meals. Continue to do the rice/sweet potato and chicken 45 minutes post workout, then have a few carbs at lunch, but remove carbs come dinner time. Watch your progress and if you stagnate or regress try cutting portion sizes on carbs post workout during high days.

Dan Trink: @Vir I think you are on the right track. I would definitely say your high carb day and heavy day should coincide. The medium carb day should be perfect for a lighter lift, but I would pay attention to to how your body responds and adjust accordingly. We all have to earn those carbs.

Christian Thibaudeau: @ DrDan... I circumvanted the questions about what I was drinking by putting the PLAZMA/ANACONDA mix in a G2 bottle :)

Christian Thibaudeau: @ Justin... No I haven't. But my personal PLAZMA/ANACONDA protocol gives me over 150g of carbs!!!

Christian Thibaudeau: That's actually the shoulder workout I did that forced me to rest my arms on a weight tree between sets because the reactive pump from the training and PLAZMA was too painful.

Christian Thibaudeau: (cont) (4) CONTRAST: 3 sets of 3 explosive push press reps / 1 set of pump work (either laterals or cuban press) ... do 2-3 waves

Christian Thibaudeau: @itisfinished... if one is to do a full overhead reactive pump session (which might not be necessary, I'll explain in the near future) it would look like this: 20 min. pre drink half of PLAZMA/ANACONDA mix (1) DB lateral raises pump partials (Meadows style... only going up to the 30-45 deg. angle) 3 x 12-15 reps (2) scrape the rack shoulder press 4 x 6 (3) scrape the rack shoulder press 2 x 10 top partials + 5 middle partials, rest 10 sec. + 5 full reps (more)

Christian Thibaudeau: @ mertdawg... I actually like pauses during the eccentric... I like that much more than going very slow on purpose, especially with advanced trainees... intramuscular friction will greatly help during slow eccentrics, robbing the muscles from some stimulation. And the more scar tissue build up you have in your muscle, and the bigger the muscle fibers are, the less mechanical work the actual muscle fibers are doing during a slow eccentric action.

Christian Thibaudeau: @ Justin... PLAZMA is special, honestly. I noticed a difference when switching from the old Anaconda/SWF to the new ANACONDA... but when I added PLAZMA it was like night and day.

Christian Thibaudeau: @Marty... I guess it depends on your mindset. Some people might need the time incentive, but most aren't that way, at least from my experience training over 500 athletes ;)

Christian Thibaudeau: @ Dave-G... she crushed it when she did it for the Academy... she did very well today BUT had one problem with the push/pull machine... not because of the weight (the prowler prepared her for that) but because it was super humid and she had trouble with her grip. She still made it with time to spare though... surprisingly I found the tests pretty well designed and liked the fact that guys and girls had the same test and passing grade.

Christian Thibaudeau: @ Jacked: performance can go down the first week or tow, then the body adapts to it. But understand that performance in term of the amount of weight lifter can drop a bit, BUT performance in regard to the tension produced by the muscle will go up. Furthermore, the system will improve the capacity to perform at a high level even in a state of metabolic fatigue.

Dan Trink: @Arthurl12 I am a bigger a fan of sweet potatoes, but that being said if you make progress with white potatoes as part of your plan then continue to implement them. Carbohydrate tolerance, and nutrition in general, is a very individual thing. I mentioned trial and error in the article and this could be a great place to use that concept. Experiment with both, analyze the effects, and adjust. Just make sure the timing and portions follow the template.

Christian Thibaudeau: Anyway... her test where in a university sport center, which had a gym, so I was able to get a good training session in. I brought my ANACONDA/PLAZMA with me and attained the largest pump and arm vascularity in my whole life, just when I needed it the most: when I'm trying to establish status as the Alpha-male in the gym :)

Christian Thibaudeau: She will soon be proposed a posting then will have to go back to the academy for 4 weeks.
