Well, it has been a while since my last training log updates. I have been hitting at least one daily session and sometimes two when time permits however. My current training consists mainly of jumps, rings, explosive movements, Prowler and a few 'strength' movements. I typically perform AR sets between work sets and these are usually band exercises or jumps.

I'm still continuing to lean out bit by bit even though I've dropped down my Indigo-3G dosing to two weeks off completely and then two weeks at 4-6 caps per day. I will likely ramp back up to full-dose Indigo-3G for another run at some point in the not-to-distant future. As for right now, I have to say that I think that the 'fixing the fat cell' thing has taken place as I'm still pounding the carbs each day and getting leaner. I can definitely tell when I'm 'on' though versus when I am off and I typically gain a pound or two when I'm 'on' and then I maintain that weight when I'm off. I would obviously like to stay on Indigo year-round but at some point finances have to be considered. Looking forward to the next full-dose run for sure.

Anyway, here are a few vids from today's training session.

Front lever attempt - still not quite able to hold the final position. Almost there though.

@Corst, Weevo, HT, Bob, DrDan and wallstrt - thanks to all of you for checking out the vids. I had another great session today although unfortunately I was without my videographer today.

I had an Easter dinner feast yesterday which included some wheat-based things that I normally would not eat (it has been a long while since I had anything with wheat in it - like months really) and also a slice of my mom's completely irresistable and terrible for you cheesecake. Since this was at the tail-end of one of my non-Indigo weeks I woke up 4 lbs heavier today and feeling a bit sluggish. Hmmm. Lesson learned - even on 'off' weeks I need to take in some Indigo before a feast such as that. Granted, it is going to be quite some time before I have any wheat products and likely another year before I get into the cheesecake again.

@BigIron - thanks man! You gearing up for the UFC in Atlanta this month? Wish I could make it down but I'm having my deck re-built and that is the only weekend that the guy is available in the next few months. It is gonna be a great time for you I'm sure.

Between day shifts today so I had time for a short conditioning session tonight. Did some rings/bands/jumps and then some Prowler/ab circuits. I hit what felt like a good front lever tonight. I could only hold it for a count of 3 or 4 but it felt like the best one that I have done to date. I'll have to get some more video soon to see if it actually looks right. Can't wait to hit a full, proper front lever.

I posted some impressions about Brain Candy earlier today in the spill. I have copied and pasted those comments here as they accurately sum up my thoughts after having used the product for a while:

Some quick notes about Brain Candy - I've been using it daily since its release. I've held off commenting until I got a few weeks of use and several shift-rotation cycles in at work since my schedule messes with my energy levels and mood so much. I used to rely heavily on Spike/HOT-ROX/Caffeine/Power Drive (usually all in the same day) to get me through. Since starting Brain Candy I've had only my once daily shot and I feel better than I ever did before. My ability to focus is off the charts, I have energy all throughout the day and through my long night shifts.

The mood enhancement effect is for real too. I'm told that I'm much more even-tempered and patient which is a pretty big deal for me. Having noticed the difference since I've been taking it there are now several others, the owners of the gym I go to included, who are now daily Brain Candy users too. Actually, the whole gym staff is using MAG-10 and ANACONDA right now too.

I really enjoyed Brain Candy while in Colorado but wondered how much of the mood enhancement was brought about by just being at Biotest HQ and all that went along with that. Having used it for almost a month now I have to say that this stuff is the real deal. Hands down my favourite supplement.

@ Michael - thank you very much!

BTW - really like your corrective complexes. I've been using some of the upper body one with great success in getting my shoulder moving properly.

(I didn't post it in my log here but what Michael was talking about when he sent his congratulations was that I found out yesterday that I had been selected as the 2011 winner of the annual fitness award within the Ontario Provincial Police. The award is named after an officer who was killed in the line of duty and is presented in his honour each year to one male and one female officer.)

April 26th 2012

All right folks, as of April 23rd 2012 I am back on full-dose Indigo for what will likely be a six-week run.

I began last year at the end of May on full dose when Indigo was first released and I stayed on full dose for well past the recommended 12 week minimum for a beginner before dropping back to 8 caps per day for a while. Leading up to Boot Camp II in December 2011 I ramped up to full dose again and stayed on that until January 2012. Since January I had tapered down to 4 caps per day prior to training and then in March I opted to try a rotating schedule of 2 weeks on with 4 caps per day and 2 weeks off with none at all.

In the 8 months between having started on Indigo and being selected for Boot Camp in December I experienced the quickest body composition changes that I have ever experienced in a comparable time frame at any point ever in my training career. In the almost 4 months since then I have been able to maintain those gains and have experienced first hand the lasting effects of Indigo in that I continue to handle carbs far better than I ever did before. I have kept my daily carb intake high during the last four months, probably 5 to 6 times what it would have been prior to Indigo, with no significant increase in body fat.

I am now ready to ramp it up again and see what will happen with another 6 weeks at full dose. I'm pushing the carbs even higher this time - I have been taking in between 450-500 grams of carbs per day in the first three days of my 6 week experiment and have been waking up looking tighter each morning so far. If after a week this trend continues I'll push the carbs higher still.

I'll update again when time permits with some notes on my current training program and a sample of what my daily intake has looked like so far this week.

Here is a photo of my starting point this time around.
