... ordered me a case of Brain Candy today right before it went on official release. can't wait to give it another try since I usually see results over a longer period of time (like with Indigo-3G, 2 weeks wouldn't have cut it for me the first time around.) it'll also be a break from Spike tabs for a few days and we'll see how well it works for a full day of lifting/class/work/physics...

... so today I deleted my old YouTube channel which I've had since high school, and started a new one at youtube.com/user/briantrains ... I'll start putting videos of my lifts for comments/criticisms...

... amazing almost 3 hour workout today consisting of pretty much everything...

Snatch 7 x 3 -- 115
Back squat 7 x 3 -- 315

Jumps:

... more than 14 here but I was going off the old spec from the performance guide

A. Vertical jump reset (reset between every rep) 5 x 5
B. Depth jumps for height 5 x 5

Arms:

... after having not done direct arm work in week this felt AMAZING! it's been about 45 minutes since I finished and I still have rock solid biceps...

A. Rope hammer curl 4 x 8-10 (double contraction at peak) -- 100
B1. Reverse cable curl 4 x 8-10 -- 100,85,60
B2. Wide-grip cable curl 4 x max reps with same weight
B2. Close-grip cable curl 4 x max reps with same weight
C1. Rope triceps pushdown, spreading apart at bottom 4 x 12-15 60,40,30

... looks like I did a good job on Sunday because my chest was not having any of the bench pressing today. skipped ahead to military pressing and left it at that...

... also going to start doing heavy bag things on the regular now that I have a set of gloves of my own...

... Brain Candy appears to have outlasted the workout, different from when I first took it two weeks ago. Impressed that I was clear and more focused than usual at the end of the session...

Brain Candy -- Day 1

After a really long sleep I woke up overly groggy and particularly useless feeling. within five minutes of taking a shot of Brain Candy I was free, clear and awake...

Well after a 7 hour drive I still have focus. pretty sweet if you ask me, usually around hour 4 I start getting drowsy... but when I got back I was grading exams for an hour before I realized I was hungry and made dinner at 9:30

So today was a day spent mostly doing homework, took BC at around 12 and around 4 it felt like the effect was wearing off. It could be some combination of staying up late last night or eating as much as I did this afternoon for lunch (post I3G)

25/3/12 -- Brain Candy -- Day 3

I'm really starting to feel the cumulative effects of Brain Candy now. After training today, I realized I had much better focus when working on rings and much more ''better'' energy even much later in the day/post workout. It'll be interesting to see how much better it gets during the week dealing with class/teaching/homework loads.

A lot of these energy effects might also have a lot to do with the ''daily jumps'' added to the workout. Another side effect of which is much more explosive, much leaner legs showing now.

midnight update: so at around 2130 I noticed that I still have tons of energy and focus, so much it's keeping me up past midnight. I can only assume it's the Brain Candy since I've been up since 8 and there is no way this is my own energy.

... Brain Candy seems to be better consumed later in the morning, so I don't crash at around 3...

... feeling like a switch to 8/day split over two periods so I don't end up wasting caps like today.

Epic weekend in Montreal for formal, diet could have been better but not too bad given the circumstances. Made up for it by eating a ton today after I got back from the trip. Back to training tomorrow and GSD...
