If you are still interested in what my "sumo-style jumps" are, there is a video ("Train") here on Synergy's log towards the bottom of page 7. Being explosive takes time to learn if you're not naturally explosive. I feel the same way sometimes a few days after a leg day.

Bob.....
I live way out on the west side of the valley. Not far from where the football Cardinals play.
Haven't posted in my log for a couple of months. Here is a link if interested: http://tnation.T-Nation.com/...pageNo=7#bottom
Keep up the great work.

Bit of a setback tonight, while jumping rope(tabata), with 3 sets left, I felt something strain in my left leg, around my achiles, well, I finished my sets, painfully, about an hour later I could not put any weight on my left leg, and the pain is no localized from my achiles area to th front low half of my calf. very weird feeling. I can put weight on it, but it is very uncomfortable.

64 pounds down in 84 days. Here goes my final 6 days on full dose indigo, at least my initial 90 days at full dose, will go to 8 per day on lifting days and 4 per day on non lifting days for at least 30 days.
I am going to kick it in the ass now and sprint these last 6 days. will have photos and measurements at that time to add to my log. VERY PLEASED with my progress, hate the belly fat and skin, but from where I was 84 days ago, life is good:)

Bob,
I had to learn over and over not to tough it out when something like that happens. I hope you don't need to learn that lesson more than once. It will cause chronic injuries! It will set you back, it does not make you tough, it certainly made me stupid and I pay for it a lot now!
Nice work on the fat loss.

You bring up a very good point, I guess this one is just weird, it started in one area and went to the other, honestly, it feels more like a "bruised cramp" than anything, I have been injured enough in my life to not want a setback, I am gauging it and will not go too far. So far so good. Thanks on the compliment, trying to get down to your fighting weight:) NO, that wasn't a challenge to a fight either....lol

It takes a while, but you will get the hang of learning "hurt" vs. "injury waiting to happen" - I've stopped a number of shoulder workouts recently due to this and have focused more on safe, rehab like exercises at times. Really helps to bring you back up to speed.
As they say, no one gets better in the hospital

Lonnie, shoulders are my huckleberry, since I have added in some band work, I have seen GREAT improvement there, but yes, knowing the difference between hurt and inj is very important to success!
