So, week 2 of 5/3/1 BBB begins.

Last week on 3s paused bench, I rep PR'd at 77.5kg x 7. Today I hit 81kg x 8 (plus another spotter assisted rep).

Extra wide 3 second pause squats 245X4 (this is basically twice shoulder width squatting)
arched back extensions 30X12
band ab pull downs doubled lightX15

The squatting PR I mentioned was actually my second set. The first set I fell on my ass (I'm not sure how, maybe my hamstrings/adductors aren't strong enough to do squats like this, or I just let the bar get behind me?).

I'm going to join this thread if you don't mind. I need to log my lifts because I need some accountability.

Stats: 158lbs 5'8' 4 months training (3 years off). My gym sucks for motivation, just skinny guys and fat women, the owner is massive and very strong, but there is only one other guy who is stronger than me and that's only in bench (he is probably around 220-230 though). Plus, it's in Korea so there getting advice can be difficult.

This week:
Legs - Front squat 220x5 ATG (just started so balance is a factor) Back squat was 308x3 ATG a few weeks ago.

Gym got a new hack squat machine, first time 12 plates x 10 - seemed easy, I think I was doing it right, I just stuck all the available weight on it because it felt too light.

Deadlift - 374x2 (next week going for 405 because I'm desperate for it) This is with straps as my grip has not developed enough after only 4 months.

OHP - 132x4

Bench - 176x3 (I feel weak with bench).

275X7 ultra wide sumo deadlifts
40X13 arch back extension DB held zercher style

That's about it for personal records. I hit a 415X2 reverse band conventional pull that day, and a bunch of other stuff.

I also promise I didn't stiff leg the sumo deads again. ;) I actually remembered to drop my balls to the bar while pushing my knees out.

high bar squat 165x17,7,5,7,7,7 - one minute breaks in between sets.

My plan was to go for 165x30 for the first set but it was hot, I was tired and my legs wouldn't fire... It wasn't even that hard, they simply wouldn't do what I wanted them to do. :/ Still, nice volume work.

515lbs Deadlift for a double. Finally getting a respectable pull.

Kristi Squat 130lbs for 8 a 2 rep PR if she can keep this up come November she is going to smoke her 185lbs Squat goal.

Close grip bench press (touch and go) 230X1
DB neutral grip floor press 70X13
snatch grip bent over row 165X16

Those are the notable ones from me today. I don't know how big of a PR the close grip bench is other than it is a massive personal record. It is the heaviest I have ever benched touch and go (and close grip is weaker than the other grips). I attribute the sudden spike in bench strength to using bands, and over head pressing. :)

315lbs Back Squat for 19. I hate that I can't focus on these enough to count haha I probably would have found my nuts and hot my 20. Either way 2 rep PR at 20lbs less body weight. Video in log and Facebook soon.
