Thoughts on My Anaconda Protocol 2?

I was hoping to get some feedback on how I have been instructed to take Anaconda Protocol 2. Wondering if anyone else has done it this way. It seems a bit odd to me, but the guy who told me to take it this way knows his stuff. But here it is.

I take my shot of GPC 90 minutes before my workout. Mix two scoops of Anaconda with 1,000 ml. water and start drinking it about 15 minutes before working out and finish by the end of the workout. As soon as I am done with my workout, I drink one scoop of MAG-10 and one scoop of Workout fuel with 1,000 ml. water. I drink that in 10 minutes after working out.

The part that seems strange to me is drinking "workout fuel" after working out. It is advertised as helping a person power through their workouts, but I am drinking it after my workout.

Any feedback would be appreciated. I want to make sure I am getting the most from my supplements and workouts.

Follow the protocol as written.

Your "friend" is probably mixing his Surge.

Here is his explanation for doing it this way.

"The idea is to force your body to perform without sugar in your bloodstream so that it must adapt to consuming stored fat for energy. Hitting carbs immediately afterward allows for recovery. On slower paced strength days you can do the workout fuel during the workout because the metabolic demand won't be enough to really accomplish much as far as aerobic fat metabolism."

Tell him he is an idiot. Countless articles here formhim to read.

Follow the protocol as written. You will be fine.

Unless you are doing the anabolic diet, then it's a whole new conversation.

Maybe a little more background would be helpful. I hate the call the guy who told me to use the supplements this way an "idiot" as he is a guest author on this site. He is pretty intelligent when it comes to health and fitness.

Within the past two years, I have lost 100 lbs. I started out at 285 lbs. and today I am 184. I just had a body scan done and I am 13.5% body fat. My main goal is to get a little more lean and defined, and build muscle. (Like most people I suppose).

I eat a very clean paleo diet. I am allowed to cheat a bit on Saturdays, and I do a 24 hour fast on Sunday. My diet is very low in carbs.

So maybe this helps explain why he instructed me to do it this way? Any other insight would be helpful.

If you want an intense work out, you need glycogen. No glycogen in fat.

SWF is MADE for prework out. The concept is built on carbs pre/during/post work out.

SWF also has beta-alanine. A little useless post workout.

There are numerous articlesand post on the product. Taking t after you WO is the equivalent of hitting the nitrous boost on your car a couple car lengths before the finish line. Not the reason to have it.

Your expert will have to point me in an article where fat can be used as fuel for short burst (like BB) activities.

Or, use the other Surge.

Also, peri workout has changed over the last couple years from after a work out, to before/during. Heck, I have all my complex carb around that time. Makes it easier to keep tabs on my diet.

Perhaps I should take it as directed for a few days and see if I notice a difference in workout performance?

This was tested, re tested, tested with contributors, a few readers did some testing, etc.

Do what you like. But, do I because it makes sense (it doesn't) no because you are told to.

Knowledge.

If you want to keep doing as your "friend" is suggesting, use Surge post work out shake, not SWF. That would would make almost sense.
