No Squat Rack at my Sorry Excuse for a Gym

That's right, its against Planet Fitness policy to have a squat rack. (Or for that matter, to let people dead lift. But sympathetic employees let me do it anyway.) However, necessity is the mother, as they say. (Not really sure if anyone actually says that, but I digress.) Anyways, after spending the first two months of my lifting infancy 'squatting' on a Smith Machine, I realized that I could use the incline bench rack for squats because I'm so short. I tried it today and it was awesome. Not that anyone cares, but I'm just pretty excited that I found a way to do real squats.

Fortunately, I won't have to spend much longer in this place because I'm leaving for college on August 18th, where I have been assured that there are plenty of squat racks and people who know that you're not supposed to do bicep curls in them. I am seriously considering just going in on my last day in town and grunting like a gorilla as I go for a max dead lift, just to see what they would do.
At this point you're probably thinking "cool story, bro." If not, then I invite you to rant about any wimpy gyms that you have ever been a member of.

My friend goes to planet fitness and he tells me they have an alarm that actually goes off if people make too much noise... What a joke. SO yeah you probably will set off an alarm and some wieners will come over and ask you to leave, punch them in the throat.

It sucks because it's hard to find a decent gym anywhere close to where I live. There's a Gold's but they are kind of shady with their pricing, you need to pay an entirely separate fee to use the prowler/indoor track, and they are always overcrowded with douche-nozzles. I ended up just getting my own shit

This.

I wonder if they will try to stop you somehow. I would drop the fuck out of the weights after you got the deadlift up haha. 405+ sounds horrible when it hits the ground where there is no mats or platform.

Probably true. I spend a lot of time being bored at work, so this is my outlet.

I approve of max effort squats without a rack. If you get killed, you were not cut out for this.

Sorry, I felt as if something was missing there.
