Decided to give my top five in no particular order
Football-LB/WR/DB/RB
We all know how athletic these guys are. Very few sports have athletes running 4.3 40 yard dashes, possessing 40 inch verts, and great strength numbers all at being over 200 pounds and lean.

Olympic Lifters
Very explosive and strong while possessing great jumping ability. Most are very lean if they are not in the heavyweight class.

Track and Field Power based events
These guys are big, ripped, and are among the most explosive and athletic on the planet.

Rugby/AFL
Not as big as the NFL players so they possess more of a fitness model physique. Which is probaly why quite a few rugby players also pose in fitness mags. The sport has really taken off in terms of athleticism and I won't be too suprised if their numbers start rivaling those that show up at the NFL combine.

Gymnastics
These guys have incredible strength, muscular endurance, and body control that is unrivalled in sports. Their biceps and abs are not bad either.
The ones that almost made the list were
Rowing- I always hear they have great physique and athletic ability but the ones I have known personally are not that impressive.
Hockey/Lacrosse- Same as above have not met any personally that were that impressive in either category and I have not seen anything through the media that displays their abilities in either category.

Lightweight PowerLifters/Strongman- Every picture of lightweight strongmen looked very impressive but I have not had that much exposure to either of these so they did not end up on the list.
MMA/Combat Sport Athletes- Their are some with good physiques and others without. Too much variance for them to make the list. For every GSP looking guy you have a Jeremy Horn which is why I didn't include them despite my deep love for mma. Athleticism varies greatly depending on each fighter's game. Some are incredibly athletic others are more technique based.

Bodybuilding I didn't count because this was also taking overall athleticism into account and although their are some very athletic guys like Andy Haman, I don't think he represents bodybuilders as a whole. In mma the physiques vary too much. A lot look kind of like average joes such as Karo and even Anderson somewhat, some look out of shape like Jeremy Horn and then you have a few that look great like GSP, Alves, and Sherk. It's also a very technique based game with conditioning being the second most important so it is hard to judge their speed, power, and strength when compared to other sports.

Other than the naturally lean and ripped guys if you sat in a rugby locker room i doubt you'd be all that impressed to be honest. I know several world class rugby players from NZ and Aus playing pro and from a pure physique standpoint its not up to much. Some only go to the gym when they are made to....no joke.

By the way I love rugby more than any other sport, just calling it as i see it.

And before you "prove me wrong" by posting a whole lot of pics. Obviously the reason there are pics is that they are the ones i spoke about with naturally lean/ good physiques.

This thread is based on my personal opinion and experience so it's cool that you post yours because I was hoping others would post their top 5. My choice of lighter Oly lifters probaly should apply to the smaller weight classes in strongman and powerlifting but because I have very litttle exposure to anything outside of superheavyweight I did not include them. I got to see the All Blacks work out in New Zealand and other teams I have witnessed their either in person or through the media were impressive. I expect their athleticism and physiques will continue to improve as the training knowledge increases and as the sport continues to become more professional. The athleticism factor was another reason they made the list because they have to develop a solid amount of strength, speed, and endurance while balancing it with a lot of conditioning work.

MMA has some great physiques. The lighter weight classes are full of jacked dudes. MMA athletes have crazy endurance and train for speed, strength, everything.

Come on guys, you're missing the obvious here. Lesbian sport-fuckers have by far the best bodies of any athlete. Plus they do it for the love of the game more than the money, which means they have integrity too.
