Well I ate heavily but cleanly over the last month to try and build some more mass before I start dieting again for the next competition in October. I am in much better shape to start with this time so i think I should do a lot better this time. The below pic is a comparison of week 1 in Feb and week 1 now. Proof you can still build muscle mass though in a calorie deficit. In the last 5 months only 1 would have been in surplus.
Don't know if anyone is reading this but it's a good record for myself :)
Not sure if this is motivating or depressing. Had about 8 months off training due to work commitments, getting married, moving house, restoring a motorbike, being a lazy mofo and generally drinking too much and eating junk.
I'm back up to about 195 pounds as opposed to around 175 when I competed.
On the plus side I am about 3 weeks back into training 5 days a week and haven't touched alcohol in almost 2 months.
I'll get a new progress pic again tonight and start the process over again. That pic from this time last year makes me feel small and fat now :(
