Hey guys, I've been reading Tnation everyday for the past year or so now but i haven't been too active in the forums so i thought it was time to change that. Im 18 years old and this past summer i had to undergo pectus excavatum surgery because i had a "caved in chest" and my sternum was putting pressure on the right ventricle of my heart.
So anyway, before this surgery i had been training hard for about a year and a half and had managed to get myself up to a lean 180 lbs (im 6'1") and i was in the best shape of my life. I had this surgery done on june 6th of this year and it was a mandatory 3 month recovery process where i wasn't allowed to pick up more than 5 lbs.
Over these 3 months my bodyweight dropped all the way down to 162. I was able to start lifting again on 9/9 and weighed in at around 165lbs. I'm currently sitting right at 200lbs as of 12/4 which is the heaviest i have ever been.
The picture on the left is me the day i started lifting again (9/9) and the right is me on 12/4, 35 lbs heavier
