Just started the weekend by consuming four drams of The Macallan single-malt 15 year old. Mighty fine. Now to load the buggy for a trip to the steakhouse.

Home for a week ( I've got pneumonia ). Decided to have a few drams. I had a bottle of Laphroaig with about an oz and 1/2 left in it. It was probably sitting there for 2months. Anyway, it was HORRIBLE. I read that you shouldn't let a bottle sit like that with less than half a bottle. It didnt even taste like Laphroaig. Went to my trusty bottle of JWB and it was perfect. Gonna have to go buy a fresh bottle of Laphroaig. Cheers

2 months should not have any ill effect. 2 years, maybe, but not 2 months.

And I don't think it should make it taste any different, just a weaker version of what it once was. Less flavor, less bite, etc.

I think your wife is poisoning your stash. :)

It was weird. I did not taste peat like I like so much. The JWB tasted the exact same..your right though maybe I'll put a lock on my liquor cabinet.
