Big OT win for the B's last night... that's what I love to see.

Man we've seen some beauties and we're only on night 3! This bodes badly for my homework and finals....

This playoff series is nuts!

Kings and Philly nab first two games on the road!

Here is how my predictions looked.

Los Angeles over Vancouver in 4 (chose this out of hate for the Canucks, but look what's happening!)
St. Louis over San Jose in 5
Phoenix over Chicago in 6
Nashville over Detroit in 7

NY Rangers over Ottawa in 4
Boston over Washington in 5
Florida over New Jersey in 6
Philadelphia over Pittsburgh in 6

I'm a Bruins fan, so I'm looking for a repeat. If they play their best, it'll happen - Lundqvist v Thomas battle would be insane, and is what I think we're in for for the ECF.
Philly v. Pitt is already out of control 20 goals in two games? I have to wonder if it will be a good move to start Fleury again. Winner of this series might not get past the second round though, they're going to be beaten, battered and bruised pretty bad.

Johnathan Quick is definitely making a case for Vezina considerations with the way he has played with this team.

Momentum swinger for, hopefully, the rest of the series.

Another ridiculous game between caps and bruins. Love Tim Thomas, but im sick to death of seeing boston teams win.

You really are a Thomas fan? I cant stand the guy, nothing against him personally, but I am so sick of hearing the announcers drool over him. It seems like they throw out the "if you could have any goalie for one playoff game" scenario, and they start to drool over Thomas some more. He just looks so inconsistent to me, plus his team defense is stellar. Take that d away, and I think he is pretty average.

As a bruins fan, even when the bruins defense has an off game, Thomas always seems to bail them out. And as an ex-forward, that is hard as hell for me to admit.

Fair enough. It seems (and i dont watch all bruins games so) he is either solid as a rock, or really mediocre. From what I have seen he can been inconsistent, although right now may not be the time to argue that, he has looked very good so far this series....

Anyone watching the Pen, flyers game three? Tied one all in the first and they look ready to kill each other. Great playoff hockey

Best series by far! I'm having more fun watching this than my Bruins.

This game is the best yet! Giroux and Voraceck look like twins in the box right now. Pens had better get it together, they look like a mess right now

They just cut the lead to one, but I think Flyers win the series. With the way they're playing, maybe the cup too. Asham will be out the rest of the series most likely.

Asham should be done, that some bush league shit. But this has been the most entertaining hockey I have ever seen. I am awestruck, this is insane.

That crosscheck by Asham was horrible. What a dirt bag. typical shit from him. Shanahan will slap him with a suspension for sure.

I believe it was just announced. I think he got one game, however that is from an unreliable source, and I would be surprised it was announced that quickly

It was a five minute major and match penalty. Shanahan will deal with the suspension issue tomorrow.

Damn. Awesome game.

I never would've thought Pitt would make it this easy.

I'm hoping they can keep up the intensity through the next series.

Blues fan here. Glad to see them get chippy in game 2. Playoff hockey and college football are miles ahead of any other professional sports in N America. Yes, major college football is a professional sport.

Embarrassing effort by the Pens. Part of me is happy they at least beat some ass, but the other part of me is embarrassed by all of the nonsense.

Half of me says "might as well go out with a bang!"

The other half says "bush league assholes can't compete in the game so they act like 2 year olds."

Either way, they've earned the spring and summer vacation that will start Wednesday night.

LOL awards:

LOL at Crosby knocking Voracek's glove away. Way to be classy Sid. Too bad Giroux can't fight for shit, Sid deserved to get his ass kicked for that.

LOL at Letang "shushing" the Philly crowd after a fight when you're about to go down 0-3 in the series. I realise that worked for Talbot back in 09 when they won the cup, but I think that was in game 2. You can't shush the crowd when you're 60 min away from getting fucking swept, and convincingly at that.

LOL at Asham blindsiding Shenn after he crushes Martin with a gorgeous legal hit. He should get 20 fucking games carried into next season for that shit. Apparently he is picking up Matt Cooke's slack.

I'm thoroughly disgusted with this team.

Always nice to see a fan who actually acknowledges douchy things his team does. Most are such homers it never occurs their team has done anything wrong. Douchy play has gone back and forth this series, but nice to see someone notice what their team is doing.

Glad to see my Rangers picking up some steam. Sux that Hags got suspended and another player on The Sens who threw an elbow to the head of a Ranger player did not. Also sux alfrederson is out with another concussion.

Did Alfredsson get a concussion? I knew he was supposed to be sitting out tonight, but hadnt heard that.

The pit-philly series is becoming a joke. Worst goaltending of all time (guessing, dont need to check, its that bad).I dont feel like I can blame the Lightnings goaltending for us not making the playoffs this year, anymore.
