You going to keep it outfitted with the slug barrel or the smooth barrel when not in use?

Have not shot for a while. This is my AR-15. I reload 5.56 brass with 55GR FMJ BT. Fun stuff.

If it's any consolation, Reloading is Incredibly boring.

Smooth barrel I think...I need to get another choke for it as it only came with a full choke..took Sen the IV out skeetshooting today and poor kid couldn't hit anything.

It looks boring to me haha. However, he makes jewelry and is used to that sort of tedious work. I'm not complaining though, as I'll get to shoot the reloads.

If he has trouble even with a modified or improved choke, you may want to test him for ocular dominance again if you haven't done so already. I'm right handed and weakly left eye dominant. Shotgunning sports are very difficult for me; my eye dominance switches as I fatigue and if my eyes go to the barrel rather than the clay I can't hit shit. I compensate with a handgun by turning my head to the right so my left eye is lined up with the sights. I've also canted the gun about 30 degrees to the left like an OG.

Now, I put a piece of opaque tape over the left lens of my shooting glasses when I'm using my shotgun and over the right lens when I'm using my handgun. My rifle is a break-action, so I can shoot from either side depending on how my eyes are that day, lol.

Anyways, something to think about.
