Watched 'Planet Terror' for the first time at the weekend.

Was glorious, also great to see Michael Biehn.

A very well-executed, smart indie sci-fi in the vein of Inception and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

I watched this movie. It was pretty sweet, the IMDB rating is crap.

I've been getting into the Heshei and Millenium Godzilla movies I just watched Godzilla Monthra King Ghidora All Out Monster Attack. These aren't your old Godzilla movies, slightly better effects and more collateral damage, make these films fun to watch; also Godzilla is no longer Japan's protector he is back and he is pissed I recommend this one as well as the three MechaGodzilla films the last two Godzilla against Mechagodzilla and Godzilla Tokyo SOS where the Japanese Government uses the remains of the original Godzilla to build a MechaGOdzilla to fight Godzilla and the original's spirit is awakened by Godzilla's roar and insanity ensues

the casting is funny. Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon and Diesel as Groot. The Animal as Drax. Glenn fucking Close running the Nove Corps and John C Riley as a high ranking officer. Odd combo of people.

It looks like they are going for a tone that is cool but also makes fun of how absurd it is. I've seen it described as half-way between Star Wars and Galaxy Quest. It's got a kind of skewed logic: if you're going to pitch a talking space raccoon to the general public, who better to voice him than... Bradley Cooper?

Saw Oculus yesterday, since I am a ghost/haunted things movie junkie.

It's good. There are a good bit of "wtf?" in what the characters do, but given the rather... traumatic childhood they had and the very nature of the thing they're fighting against, all those inconsistencies actually make sense. The human mind is irrational, and sometimes I think people frequently demand far too many rational things out of people when they're not supposed to be perfectly rational.

Anyways, if you're a haunted things movie junkie like me, then you'll probably enjoy it. I absolutely loved the ending.

The Grand Budapest Hotel:

I'd give it a solid B. Pretty damn funny. Yes, it's an "artsy" film the humor is a little off-the-wall, but I liked it. Started slow, but had some great characters. Story is excellent, wonderful cast, and Ralph Fiennes is awesome. Edward Norton, Jeff Goldblum and Adrian Brody are also great along with a great role by Harvey Keitel, as of course, a felon trying to break out of prison.

Pretty damn funny.

Sabatoge: C+

Lots of violence and Arnold looks pretty good here. The plot is decent and has a few twists to keep you guessing but the supporting cast is terrible. Arnold is the bright spot here. Save your money, catch it on Redbox.
