Favorite story about a Prius is this guy I know works for one of the gas companies in sales. He's bombed at a bar and sees a Prius. Proceeds to rip the windshield wiper of the bat claiming, "these aholes don't by my gas." People who drive these are ripping the spoon right out of my sons' mouths. Pretty funny stuff.

Get a 68 F350 dually flatbed. You can go anywhere and tow anything. Also, run it with straight glass packs and down shift in crowded areas. Its a good look.
Oooh, glass packs will really up the status value of my Suburban!
Don't get glasspacks if you have to spend very much time in parking garages. I cant go in one that I don't set off half the car alarms if I push the accelerator and mine isn't even that loud.
Haha dude I hear ya. When I (rarely) drive I do drive a 68 f350 dually and it just has glass packs and garages are just awful for the reason you listed. Except, mine is louder than a screaming banshee.
I would like to see the numbers of what the insurance difference, gas etc before I made a move. I have had about 5 BMW's now, between the wife and I. I have been nothing but very happy with the reliability. Reason I keep getting them. I want to get in the car and not have any fucking problems.
I have always assumed more expensive=less reliable, but I've been doing some research and am finding that's not the case, especially with BMW's. Regarding insurance, it went up when I got the BMW but I've been looking at quotes on other cars and realized the reason it went up with the new car is because my old car was a 2000 Camry, so obviously a newer nicer car is going to cost more.
Thanks for all the feedback guys. This has been a helpful and informative thread and I'm enjoying the food for thought.
