For those who play, what would be the best way to learn the blues on the electric guitar? I just received an electric guitar and would like to learn.

Probably not the best starting point for new blues players, but you'll have to perfect your blues guitar face.

Learn from the Master:

no thread highjack:

How do you KILL a country musicians career ?? ? ?

Give him back his Beer, Dog, Truck, Bass Boat, Fishing Pole and barca-lounger ; )

Blues are what you intrinsically FEEL. . .

Listen to BB King, Buddy Guy, Howlin Wolf, Junior Wells...

and follow the first six lines of what SteelyD said...

Become black....

Just kiddingggggg...I've been playing since I was like 4 or 5. Never had a lesson, know no theory, dad showed me a few chords when I was young. How I learned was listening to music and playing along with it. I have been paid to play at bars etc. The key to creating all music is connection. Shit some days I just can't "connect", and I scrap it....Your guitar is best used as a vessel.
