"The fish taste never goes away no matter how much you fry them or rinse them or mask them with a sauce. The texture is gelatinous. Doesn't that sound gross? It is."

That's why.

My girlfriend loves them so I'll eat them occasionally. I disagree about the fish smell, they need to be extensively rinsed off when they come out of the package. Once they're rinsed, they have no flavor or smell at all. Do not try and eat them raw, put them in a frying pan and heat them up. They will absorb the flavors of whatever sauces you use. They're great in Thai food.

I've probably tried 3 or 4 different manufacturers including No-oodles, Miracle Noodle, and shirataki.

I think you're talking about konnyaku. It's a fairly common food in Japan.

It's good in Thai food x2. Spicy food, actually. My favorite is with really spicy soups.

i've only tried shiritaki. after rinsing well in a strainer I drop 'em in boiling water for about 3 minutes then strain them. absolutely bland flavor & smell at this point. I add them to stir fry & they just absorb the flavor of the sauce. totally legit.

Fish smell goes away. These only taste good in Asian sauces, since the noodly texture is more like Asian noodles. If you want Italian-styled pasta, just make zucchini pasta.

Is the point of eating it just to feel full?

yeah sure. You know a little something extra on a cut, feel full with minimal calories. For instance if I had a few macros left at the end of the day like 15g protein 10g fat like like 5g carbs you could make a full meal out of these noodles and not go over know what I mean?

Paulie, how much longer are you going to cut? Serious question (as this has happened to me in the past): do you think that you're going to run into the 'perma-cut' problem, where you just keep losing weight until one day you realize that you've gone too far? Lol, that happened to me last year--sorta the opposite of how people will say they had the 'oh sh**' moment about realizing they were too fat.

I don't really feel full. But if I'm on a cut, then it can make for an interesting meal since it has a particular texture that you normally can't get without carbs/calories.

haha, yeah I feels you. I am getting addicted to getting leaner. BUtttttt my coch wants me done at the end of this month or the end of April at the latest. Then transitioning into lean bulking begins.

honestly I'd like to diet another 15 lbs but I don't know if mentally I could stick it out.
