Hey,
Can anyone recommend me any books or other sources on reversing (curing) type II diabetes?

Many thanks,

Funny you should ask.

Read Wheat Belly by Willam Davis. It has been referred to on this site, but I cannot recommend this strongly enough.

It is excellent! I have mostly stopped wheat - not diabetic but it is in my family - and it is enormously helpful. I still occasionally have it but the point is I know what it does to me so I ma not under the false impression thaqt I am eating healthy when I have it. Like icecream or sweets.

Davis' blog is www.wheatbellyblog.com.

Excellent discussions and lots of people describing how their diabetes has been stopped by going off wheat.
Other issues as well of course.

The diabetes forum (www.diabetesforum.com) is a great place to ask questions.

In the MODOK Q/A (not sure if it was the first or current one) he answered this. To sum it up some one (I believe it was "anonym" if you want to search) had read a study about using extremely low calorie diets to reverse Type II Diabetes over the course of 6 weeks or so. I believe MODOK said the same results could be achieved through a very low carb diet and quality food sources.
