I did a DXA Scan on their brand new machine.
DXA Scan
Date: 3/2/2011 Time: 12:30PM
Weight: 157 lb.
Height: 5 ft 9 in
Body Fat: 13.7%
Muscle Mass: 132.6 lb.
I talked to the nurse about the new machine. The muscle mass was only off by 0.2 lb. I asked her why the machine was reading a higher body fat level than expected. She claimed that it may be confusing fat for water because I was an athlete and my fluids are constantly changing. She told me that this DXA machine tends to read body fat about 2% higher than it "may or may not be." Which means that I am somewhere from 11.7 - 13.7% body fat.
My scale at home uses bioimpedence for body composition. I set it in athlete mode and it generally is 2% lower in body fat than regular mode. Interesting.

you didn't have much fat to cut, you should have better spent your time bulking.
I have those problem areas of fat, especially around the love handles and backside. This diet greatly reduced my entire body fat by 2-3% in about 4 weeks. That is awesome in my opinion! I have bulked my entire life and I needed a different approach. Now, since I'm lean I will head towards bulking again.

how did you incorporate the pulse fasts in with the V-Diet?
On week 4 of the V-Diet, I did a Pulse Fast the day before the HSM day and the day after the HSM day. This way, you maximize the anabolic effects of the re-feed and do not hold any excess water weight. I did a total of 6 Pulse Fasts the last 3 weeks of the V-Diet.
