Thanks! I only lost a pound this week, so that was a bummer...
Oh well, no matter, I'm pleased with the overall progress.
So I totally neglected this thing yesterday, so here it is:
Day 20:
Did 30 minutes of NEPA after work, then bought an iPad. I just waltzed into best buy, played with it, fell in love, bought one and haven't put it down since. I'm such a sucker.

So, uh, is that how you ended up doing the V-Diet? haha
Sucks that you only lost a pound, but that is still a bit more than I did! Hopefully our last week will be awesome, or at least better!

Damn.
It's been a hot minute since I thought I was going to puke after a workout. A few more reps and I surely would've ralphed.
Week 3 V-burn : 14:58
I don't know how folks get in the 13's. I was moving as fast as possible and didn't take any breaks except to transition between a standing exercise and a floor exercise. I'm truely puzzled.

Yeah, I hear ya. I was thinking the same thing as I was doing the exercises. I certainly would have gotten your time had I not taken a couple breaks. First 2 sets I banged out in 4:02, then the rest crept up a bit - nothing taking me over 2:30 per set.
At this point, I kind of don't want to get a faster time (not even to try to beat you!). I like the fact that it is still pretty challenging for me, and for nearly 17 minutes. If I got it done in under 13 I don't know that I would consider it an actual workout...unless I puked...then it's definitely a workout, haha.
Hey, I meant to ask you this - what's your plan after transition? Just curious since you're obviously not going into powerlifting like us, ha!

I'm going to go back to doing the SealFit.com WOD on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with a long slow distance run on the weekends. Might swim for active recovery on Tuesday or Thursday. Definitely at least one full day off on the weekend.
Having really good work capacity/conditioning is important for my job, otherwise i'd love to go heavy on the weights and just focus on that. Unfortunately, it's frowned upon to be large and slow, even if its muscle weight. I'm already looked at as being pretty huge, just because I crack the 200 mark...
Do the two of you have a specific program in mind?
On a different note, have either of you tried Power Drive? I'm really curious about it...

I'm going to get back on 5-3-1. I did it for 5 cycles (and some change) before doing the v-diet and it increased my 1rm's a shitload. Gonna modify it a bit for my PL goals though, since it really has you hitting rep maxes instead of 1RM's for weight. Its an excellent program. I'll use that to increase the weight on my 4 main lifts.
My accessory work is going to be geared towards hypertrophy (at the slight expense of assisting my 4 big lifts). I know I have some weak areas to work on (such as rear delts and upper back) to get better overall symmetry, and I want to be a little bigger all over as well.
Also gonna focus on correcting my anterior pelvic tilt, which it looks like has improved significantly since last year.
Eventually I'd like to give I-BB a go, but that probably won't be until at least the winter months. May transition to that then just to change the training up a bit and see what I can do with it.

I'll check that out - I like to see what other people are doing. I really do understand that I have different goals than others, and vice versa. And yeah, I know what you're saying about your job. Nate had been doing Wendler's 531 prior to the Vdiet, and I believe he will be restarting that again - but I'll let him chime in on that.
I will be basically doing Ripptoe's Starting Strength for a few weeks just to re-familiarize myself with the squat, DL, Bench, and Military Press. Then once I figure out those I will be starting 531 right away. The program is designed to put on a lot of strength, and I think if I keep my nutrition in check that I'll be able to keep killing some fat too.

oh and I've never tried Power Drive. I'm a Biotest supp whore too, but I've never seen a reason for Power Drive. I can vouch for pretty much anything else sold on this site though. Good shit.

So I've been neglecting this thing due to my heavy work schedule this past week. Not much going on...still on track. I'll probably just post my workout information, then my final pictures Saturday morning and call it good. Oh, and I'll post my v-burn time on Sunday as well. After that, I don't see myself maintaining this log through the transition and beyond.

I've really sucked at keeping this thing updated while doing this final exercise. Anyway, still here, still going strong and can't wait till Monday to start transitioning and eating solid food daily.

Ok, so I'm not the only one who hasn't been keeping this up to date. Although I did drop off for about a week and a half, I have never stopped the diet. Dude, you are killing me. Your weights are awesome. I'm feeling weak and tiny. I really feel that my shoulders and chest are shrinking at the same rate as my waist.
You have address one of the things I have been curious about... sparkling water. That's OK on the diet? I never saw it banned, but then I never saw it approved (unless I missed that).
I can't believe your V-Burn Challenge time. You really make me feel like a fat slob. I came in at 50 minutes last week. Even though you only lost one pound, you look more cut to me. More abs, etc. Do you flex your stomach for the photos?

Yeah, I've been good on the diet, but I just finished this end of course exercise, which really ate into my schedule and involved weird hours, so i haven't really bothered to take the time to get on here post day-to-day. I weighed in this morning and I've lost another 1.2 lbs, so I'm closing it out at 207.4. So it's been a total of 12.2 lbs. Unfortunately I didn't have time for photos today.
I don't flex for the photos...the only thing I'm really consciously thinking about is standing upright with good posture.
Thanks for the comments on the weights and v-burn time. As stated, this past week was a ball-buster, so the workouts were done as prescribed, but i didn't try increasing any weights from week 3. It probably would've been a disaster on a few of the lifts. Admittedly though, I was just going through the motions to get it done.
V-burn is tomorrow and I think it'll be a struggle just to get the same time as last week. Those folks posting sub-14 times for 6 round intermediate have me flummoxed.
Cant wait for monday to transition!!!!!

I went ahead and took pictures even though its not at the same time. So to caveat, these pictures were taken at 7PM, whereas all my other photos have been taken upon waking. I think they look about the same as last week, which I guess isn't bad considering I'm fully hydrated in these.
