So I'm starting the V-Diet today. I know normally it's started on a monday but I just got my shipment in yesterday and I dont want to wait another week to start lol. I'm dealing with trying to do this diet while being active duty military, so this first week is going to be an experiment on whether I want to do the workouts on M-W-F to coincide with my cardio days for army pt, or move them to T-Th-S. so my starting measurements are..

Height - 5'9"
Weight - 206
Neck - 16
Chest - 44 1/2
L Bicep - 14 1/2
R Bicep - 14 1/2
Waist - 38
Hips - 41
L Thigh - 25
R Thigh - 25
L Calf - 16 1/2
R Calf - 16 1/2

Those are just the measurements I saw a lot of other people taking so I ran with it. I dont know how often I'll update this but I'll try and stay current. Right now I'm about to have my 2nd shake of the day and and I've been hungry for an hour lol. I'm used to having a 3 scoop shake right after morning pt at 7:30 and that keeps me full till 11:30 so I have to get used to only 2 now.I'm trying to do the whole diet and workout program to the letter, and I even bought the fiber choice tablets and some peppermint tea for between shakes. I'll try to get some pictures uploaded tonight, but it wont be pretty haha.

*EDIT* I forgot to put in my body fat. Using the army's calculation method (height, weight, neck, and waist) I am 23% BF.

Well I'm most of the way through day 2. I havent really noticed any hunger pangs except in between shake 1 and 2. Besides that I stay moderately full all day. I HAVE however noticed how integrated food is into everything.. from seeing the burger joints in the background of the tv show I watch, to noticing all the fatty snacks laying around my company area (we keep a big tub of cheese balls in the front office lol). So my old habits are kinda getting to me but no hunger.

Since I started this on a tuesday, I did workout 1 yesterday, which seemed way too easy and short, I guess I need to up my weights. Today I will be doing the second workout, and then I'll do the normal M-W-F schedule from here on.

So far i'm happy with the taste of all the products, except one. The raspberry Surge Recovery tastes like raspberry flavored liquid sugar. It's so sweet I have to hold my nose to tolerate it. Besides that, all the shakes and superfood/flaxseed tastes great. I tried the tip last night about mixing the peanut butter with chocolate MD for a reeses shake and it was pretty good.

Also, I know they say it's a bad habit but I tend to weigh myself every day after morning PT. With all the army PT we do I tend to stay right at 205-206, but today i was at 202 1/2, so hopefully this stuff is already working lol.

Well I'm on day 9 now. I've been trying to stick with the plan 100% but the army is making it kinda hard. On monday I had a 24 hour shift that I couldnt get to the gym during, so I had to do my monday workout yesterday, and then I couldnt get my weekly measurements until today. So here's where I'm at now..

Height - 5'9"
Weight - 201
Neck - 15 3/4
Chest - 44
L Bicep - 14 1/2
R Bicep - 14 1/2
Waist - 37
Hips - 41 1/2
L Thigh - 25
R Thigh - 25
L Calf - 16 1/2
R Calf - 16 1/2

So the only real change is losing an inch on my waist and 1/4 inch on my neck, and gaining 1/2 an inch on my hips. Using the army's body fat equation again, i'm now ar 22%. If these numbers are accurate, it show's I've actually lost about 1 pound of lean mass, so I hope they're not lol.

On sunday I did the V-Burn Challenge. I went into it figuring it would be a piece of cake considering all the similar workouts we do in the army. Well I was wrong lol. I completed the intermediate program in 41:48.. horrible time lol. Hopefully by next week I'll have a few minutes shaved off.

The v-burn gets better with every go. I am dreading doing my first one for this round. When I did the V-diet for the first time I clocked in at a pathetic 1hr8min for the intermediate V-burn. By week four I was down to 28minutes.

Well I went to do my workout last night. I got 2 sets into the bent over row and fucked up my back. I dunno if it's a pinched nerve or what but it hurts to move. I'm gonna keep on with the diet but I'll have to take it easy for a couple days. I'm going to sick call tomorrow morning to get it checked out, but army sick call is a joke. They'll probably give me some ibuprofin and a week of no PT..
