TRANSITION WEEK 1 SUMMARY

Went pretty well this week. After asking Chris ive modified the transition slightly as my aim is to lose fat but keep the same weight so ive tried a mixture of 1 and 2 day transitions this week.

Tuesday Soup and Sandwhich + Shakes + V Burn
Wednesday Butternut Squash Fries + Chicken Breast x 2 + Last V Diet Session 3
Thursday Butternut Squash Fries + x3 turkey Breast steaks with almond flour fried crust as per HSM recipes! + Protein Bar after Interval Session
Friday x 2 Meals Rice + Chicken + Curry Powder for lunch, Butternut squash fries + Chicken Fillets x 2 for dinner
Saturday x2 Slices Beef + x 1 Egg plus salad for lunch and Homemade pizza with gluten free base for dinner (Never getting this premade gluten free pizza base crap again the homemade HSM recipe one was a millions times nicer!
Sunday I had homemade protein muffin and peanut butter Fudge Bar In addition to my shakes during the day and chicken stir fry with 60g rice for dinner + Shakes
Monday Lean Steak + Salad for lunch and Tomato and Basil Soup and Sandwhich on GF bread for tea with some dark chocolate.

This is offically the second week of transition. I done my first WS4SB Max Effort Upper Yesterday with Dynamic Lower today.

Just had 50g GF Oats with 1 scoop of vanilla MD and water to make a porridge with a splash of honey for breakfast along with my Flameout and HOT-ROX. Will have x2 shakes (I surge recovery through day, dinner will be Butternut squash fries and chicken again i think and bedtime shake tonight.

Here is a picture of my back day 1 v 35 now. I weighed in yesterday halfway through day and was 98kg but that was after 3 shakes so havent put on too much if anything i reckon i have maintained, will weight in today pre workout or maybe tomorrow morning first thing before i have my first shake.

Congratulations on finishing, and on your results! Thank you for sharing your journey - I'm just on day 5 now, and it's so great to be able to read other people's experiences (especially right through to the end!)

It's about one week since you've finished - are you going through the two transition weeks? I think, like you, the diet will almost be the easy part as there is no guess work, so I'm curious to see how you make out once the structure is loosened a bit.

Great work, again!

Thanks ya its been ok! I weighed in this morning after my post pre workout after my oats and i was exactly 97kg which is what i was a week ago although i feel leaner than last week! I messed up for didnt take measurements finishing so i probably should have to see if there was any difference this week!

To be honest I probably could have gone another week the only hard day was Fridays so the routine for the first week transition was great and not an issue. My big issue was when I was getting home late from work last week and NOT BEEN PREPARED! Or should i say not having any food in that i could prepare!

I opted for soup and a sandwich which although gluten free i know is not great for you still on nights when i've had nothing else in the house! I didnt crave the bread of anything but just for convenience which i know is a bit silly! The nights i've had time to prepare my meals have been great and i've really enjoyed the cooking and spicing the foods and feel a lot more satisfied afterwards! Ive also made the peanut butter fudge bars from Gourmet Nutrition cookbook which i will have as a treat and they are great!

I havent had cravings for crap foods AT ALL yet but i really do put this down been gluten and wheat free pre v diet. Understanding that wheat is addictive and what it does to you has also removed any desires to put anything wheat into my body which i think helps also!

So to summarise just be prepared coming off and have loads of good food choices in your house! For example i now chop and peel butternut squash and have half one night and the other keeps in the fridge stuff like that is great!

Hope this helps and makes sense.

Makes total sense! I was actually gluten free for four years, and went off about two and a half years ago - so I know what it's all about on both sides!

Great to hear you're still doing well. I just hit my first semi-rough day feeling not-so-awesome, but I'm trying to take it all in stride. Looking forward to my HSM on Friday, but sort of enjoying the simplicity of it all. I had the Gourmet Nutrition book a while back but lost it in a breakup, so I'll have to get another copy - I recall a lot of the recipes being really awesome!

Keep up the great work!

Thanks for sharing your journey dude, real impressive results. One of the great things I think I'm already benefitting from is the control of my cravings. Reading your post plus a few others as well led me to the "Wheat Belly" book and my eyes are now wide open! Haven't even finished the audio book yet (my current NEPA companion) and I'm looking into going gluten/wheat free seriously from now on.
Respect sir!

Thank you, i reckon it is now possible to get ripped if you go wheat free! whereas before i thought that was impossible! I have not put weight on this second week and the cravings have been non existent it is scary how much wheat can have a hold of your brain! I am telling anyone that will listen about it!!

My training for my sport is also not effected it is ridiculous to think ive wasted the last 10 years playing while my energy has essentially been zapped although i thought i was giving myself energy!

Look forward to reading the rest of your journey! I will post my final pics next week after the transition is complete! Have 3 out of 4 WS4SBs days done this week and feel as strong as ever without a massive carb increase!
