Hey guys, for any one who hasn't seen my diet log, on my 3rd V-Diet and so far i've dropped 17lbs in 11 days, this must be some kind of record right?

Any one out there who can match this? Not being cocky or anything i mean i shouldn't of got fat in this 1st place, but i'm just astounded by how much has gone in such little time!

Did you take measurements? Scale weight is always wonky and "iffy." Tape measurements usually tell a truer story.

hey guy's

I just finished my first V-Diet. I wish i could post pic's but i don't own a camera, and with the injuries Ive had to my legs I don't want to gross everyone out..

I did have some really good results though,

Starting weight 249, Starting Height 5'9"

Ending Weight 216 Height was the same, lol but I could see my wiener again..

Belly before 48.75 after 36.25
Waist before 46.00 after 34.25
Bicep before 15.25 after 17.75
Chest before 38.00 after 42.00

I had to change part of the workout since I cannot do squats or lunges, I had to replace those with old fashion leg lifts, and leg raises.. I took the walk a little to the extreem, I did a 2 mile walk before breakfast shake under 18 min and I would do a 3 mile walk under 26 min after my evening shake everyday, all done on an elliptical machine, I did the upper body workout everyday at lunch.

I had to stretch the program out to 6 weeks since I took my kids camping for a week.

The first week was the hardest overall, Hunger was a major issue for me since I came straight off a see food diet and jumped headfirst into the V-Diet. I didn't realize that the last two years of recouping and getting fat after being injured had put me in such bad shape. The pain through week 1-2 was excruciating,,, I was my own worst enemy in the gym the first week, over working every muscle in my upper body. It didn't take long to recover though and I motored all the way through it, but my secretary laughed at me every day at work watching me walk around in pain..

The only additional supplements I took during the V-Diet was Receptor Max and Rez-V and 2kmg of cinnamon, I'm Type II Diabetic and was interested how they would help me out.

I kept a detailed log of blood sugar readings during the diet and took an A1c before and after

A1c before 9.7 after 3.7

Average fasting sugar before 180 after lunch 270 after workout 145

Average fasting sugar during Vdiet 91 after shake 144 45min after workout 82

I'm slowly working regular food back into my diet and focusing on real food and cutting the processed crap totally out. I'm still looking to drop more weight, my target is 190, still over weight but it is way better than 7 weeks ago,,,

Thanks T-Nation, I believe that this has given me a few good years left..

Holy shit that is an astounding drop in numbers! Well done, obviously this diet workes for you!

BTW did u mix up the bicep and chest measurements? It seems strange that you added 3.5 inches to your biceps while losing 34lbs?

Good work tho!

Wow!

Did all those results come within the 6 weeks of the V-Diet (4 strict weeks plus Transition)?

I cant believe it either, 6 weeks, but I think my week off around week four really helped, I felt good but since I was really inactive to start with I needed a few days to sit and recover, I did pretty good diet wise, one day I had some Eggs and bacon for breakfast, and I held out until the last night and had two hotdogs with the works, but I pounded the water the whole time, and got some really good exercise on two 10 mile canoe adventures with my boys 14-15 so dad had to keep up..

I'm not stopping with this, I want to get back to 180 so I can surf again,, like I said in my intro, Watch out Oldmans and Lower Trestles, I'm coming back,,,,,

Good job Marzouk, I'm not ready for anymore extreme fatloss dieting yet. I will give the V-diet another go once my strength levels are appropriate. Right now... not so much.

ken rose, my brother weight was 200 after gastric bypass at 5'8 with a 32' waist. for some men they can
have narower waists then other men. so his size is quite likely.

It be hard to be 17 lbs of fat in 11 days. 7-10 lbs of it is probably water from cutting down on carbs and adding cardio.

But not to rain on your parade. Even .5 lbs of fat a day is great progress.
