Chris,

I had surgery 1 year ago to remove my entire colon due to ulcerative colitis and am now left with only my small intestine. As the colon's function is to remove excess water from waste, if I was to drink a glass of water with no food, it would run through me in no time. I have to eat solid food when drinking to line my small intestine with something for absorption.

My question is if I start the V-Diet and am drinking Metabolic Drive all day, my body should still be able to absorb the calories correct? I am just nervous drinking that much and having it exit 10 minutes later.

Ask your gastroenterologist.

That being said I know a few people that have had this procedure and if they didn't give you a colostomy bag and just a pouch of intestine and rectum that lose a lot of weight.

The best thing in your condition most likely is to clean up your diet ( you have to avoid lots of fibrous foods ) and start lifting weights.

You should really consult your gastroenterologist and look for others who have had this procedure. My sister has had this for 15 years now. She lives a perfectly normal lifestyle except for having to always be aware of a restroom.

Ask your GI about the shakes.

Hmm, I'm not sure, sorry. I think corst is right: ask your doc about how shakes, smoothies etc. would work.

Chris,

Just finished 4 weeks of the V-Diet. I had no problem with the shakes sans colon. In fact, it was much better than expected as my "output" was greatly diminished versus eating food which means I was able to absorb almost all of the drive.

I didn't take pictures but dropped from 203 to 185 and lost 6.5 inches off my waist. I am currently in the transition phase - thanks for the HSM recipes I had your lasagna last night and it was wonderful. My 2 year old daughter who is a picky eater also approves.

Thinking ahead, would you recommend CT's 6 weeks to Superhero program with your 100 grams of carb diet or the Indigo project coming off V-Diet? My goals are more strength based at this point after the diet.

Thanks for the update!

I've seen such dramatic results in myself and others on the Indigo plan, it's hard for me to recommend anything else.

I know it's not the correct forum for Indigo-3G but I can't find a forum beyond training logs for the program and I have questions after reading about it. If there is a better place to get my questions answered, let me know but can you please confirm my understanding:

1. I won't be able to see the actualy training program until I purchase the product?
2. Looks like it is recommended to purchase ANACONDA Protocol 2 plus about 4 bottles of Indigo-3G to complete a 6 week program?
3. Diet is basically 5 HSM's a day?

Thanks for the support!

See the links at the top of the Live Coaching Labs:

You can train any way you want, but we do offer programs so you get the most of it.
