Just finished about an hour and a half ago. Team #38 is from my Battalion- started the final Buddy Run in 5th place, but came in 11th on the Run...hoping they finish Top 8 at least. They won't announce the winners until following the Super-Supper; had to take off. Awards ceremony is tomorrow at 10am.
It is really cool to watch if you ever get the chance- once in awhile they'll put it on ESPN at 2 or 3 a.m. when they've run out of motorcross or bowling events to air.
I competed MANY years ago ('94) but DNF; my partner fractured his kneecap on the Darby Queen. Back then it was either Ranger Regiment or Ranger Training Brigade that had a stranglehold on 1st Place. Great to see so many units across the Army compete and win now- I've even seen USAF and USMC teams compete.
Pretty proud of my team as they finished in 7th Place. They only had a little less than three weeks training together as an original team member broke his toe and had to step out. They integrated historic weapons this year into the stress shoot; M1 Garand, M1 Carbine, and M1903.
