How do you guys deal with your emotional swings, life stress, bad days, good days, etc? (Assuming you aren't on meds, lol)

I'm still a kid and have no real problems to speak of. I dunno how you guys with kids, wives, or other real responsibilities do it. Mad respect for anyone with a family who stays and makes progress in the gym.

That being said, for me if I am overwhelmed by a test, job, something else stupid, i just say fuck it and do the best I can. It's a drop in the pond. The next time I'll put myself in a better position to achieve the results I know I am capable of.

What part of VA are you from, SEM?

Beans, I get what you're saying about getting too amped up, however, I've found it best for me to be doing something when I'm that crazed. That's when I gravitate toward explosive work like tire-flipping or sledgehammer stuff. The yelling that accompanies this is warning enough for people to leave me alone.

QUIZ TIME!

Situation:
Dude
Knows very little if not "nothing" about powerlifting
Has worked up to a 4/3/5 through pigheaded "smash fucking weights" approach to lifting, has read a bunch of stuff, but nothing powerlifting or "raise my total" related for the most part.
Recently has access to Bands and CHAINS
Wants to use the chains, maybe even the bands, hasn't a clue where to start

Questions:
1) Where does he start reading? (Please go beyond: "search the site doofus")
2) Any words of advice?
3) Should he even be touching them at this point? Why or why not?
4) How fucking awesome are chains?
