Agreed Enders...Well my goals for the end of april didnt come to fruition...bench was close at 215, my best deadlift was 355x2 and for squats I hit 265x5...I am going to sit down and set some good end of the year goals. As for short term goals, I will make some as I go along to keep me on track.
Squat 180kg, back permitting (currently at 130kg with a lot in the tank)
Deadlift 250kg (at 210kgx2, failed 220kg 2 weeks ago, playing around with stance etc)
bench 125kg (105kg at the minute, big weakness is tricpes
Incline Dumbells at least the 46kgs for reps (40kgx8 atm)
Dumbbell Shoulder Press 44kg for reps (36kgx7)
Get arms bigger (they are 14.5 inches cold =/ but when pumped at least an inch bigger)
snatch: 130lbs / 60 kg
clean & jerk 155lbs /70 kg
I don't have a date because I am so new at Oly lifting and I don't know any other women lifters(other than the couple I know online) to really have an idea what is a good progress rate.
But, I want a bodyweight snatch which as long as I don't put on any weight would be 63 kg or just under 140 lbs and a clean and jerk to match my front squat PR from a couple of weeks ago(175lbs) I've increased it since but I'll keep my goal at the old number. Lofty? I don't know. I believe I have the strength right now for the short term snatch goal and the clean goal but the jerk part I'm not sure.
I want to hit:
225 clean and jerk (187)
BW military press
225 lb db rows x 20
315 bench (209 a while back)
315 front squat (242)
405 back squat, and 10x315 (308, have hit 19 breathing squats with 220)
500 deadlift (398)
I'll try to get there this year. Hard, but possible.
These weren't goals for the year, these were "final" goals, what I wanted to achieve some day. Beat my squat goal, pretty much hit my front squat goal, and everything moved. Some great progress, some OK, some shitty. Not bad overall.
