Didn't like the article but props to The Editors for posting it to present another point of view. Sometimes, even if a given perspective is flawed, it still gives some insight and makes one question existing paradigms and that is always worthwhile.

@darkmatter @R Fisher @iclardy- Regarding the percentages, they were set up for more of a novice trainee (e.g. an ecto without much size, strength, and training age). For these types, it's definitely possible to hit 5 reps at 90% because their "true" 1RM has yet to be realized. I completely agree that for someone more seasoned those numbers push the envelope. Apologize for not clarifying my thought process in the article
