Demmit. Your high bar squat officially blows mine out of the water.
I think I actually know the reasoning behind why it's doing so well right now. Let me list them for you.
1. I'm squatting at least twice a week now, usually 3.
2. I ordered the voodoo floss bands from rogue and have been working hard on my mobility, especially in my ankles. When I say high bar, I legit mean my ass is on my ankles now.
3. I'm doing my best to eat at least 300g of protein a day.
4. I'm learning how to really lock my upper back in.
5. ROTC's done for the year, so not as much running.
6. I'm not getting amped up for squats, I'm just doing them.
The voodoo bands are seriously incredible. I didn't realize how bad my ankles/calves were, but it's like a very, very significant improvement after literally 2 minutes.
Awesome. Sure makes sense. I gotta catch up with you.
That's what summer is for. Doing manual labor and getting stronger in a hurry.

Truth haha. I'll be looking forward to seeing you log more of your sessions to see where this progress is coming from.

I'll start logging soon. I'm finally settling into a way of training that I like AND seems to work.

Done with finals today and now onto summertime boredom. I'm already out of things to do, so I might as well post some training. Today's training was at the end of the day and I was really worn down from school, but it was alright I guess.
5/3/12
Bench 1x250, 1x285, 1x305, 4x275 all ezpz
Fat Bar Press 5x5x135 bar actually weighs like 65 or 70, but I'm too dumb for math
Pullups 4x6x35, 3x10xBW
a. DB Curl 4x10x30 sweet neck veins
b. Rope Pushdown bringing the horses into the stable
Not bad. Looking at some funzies tomorrow morning.

HB Squat 3x5x315, 3x3x345, 1x375
Beltless BB Row 2x8x225, 5x6x245
a. Standing Calves 3x10x180
b. 3-Ct. Decline Situp 3x6x25 on me head
Everything felt good today once I got moving. Got a lot of quality work in. I feel like I've been neglecting my mid back strength and have been focusing on deadlifting too much. After this session, I consumed roughly 15 eggs and about 25 pieces of bacon. There will be a large amount of rolling and stretching later today.

HB Squat 6x5x325
Seated DB Press 4x6x80
DB Side Raise 6x8x30
Face Pull 5x10
4 laps of IM field
Pretty good day. Definitely the most squatting volume I've done, but it was ezpz so lot's of room for improvement. Pressing felt weak, and I'm going to attribute that to squatting beforehand. Running felt really good surprisingly; even got my tan on.

Power Clean(aka upright row) 5x3x225
T-Bar Row 5x5x5plates
NG Pulldown 3x8x180 hurt my elbow?
DB Curl 5x7x45
Decent enough. Had to go to a meeting right beforehand. Was going to do more sets on pulldown, but my tendinitis was really flaring up. Just ordered some rehband knee sleeves as a present to myself.

Deficit Deadlift 4x500 PR
WG Chins 6x4x45
Band Leg Curls 5x8xRed+Green
CG Cable Row 6x7x190
Banded GM 7x10xGreen
BB Curl 7x115
DB Curl 4x9x40
K-Pipe Curl 3x10x15
I just realized I kinda did a lot of volume today. Everything feels pretty good and strong, even after squatting heavy yesterday. My programming, (working title Tard-Strength), is working.
